Hi, new to the site. I just joined because I thought it would be cool to talk to other Christians about the Bible and life in general. I don't have many Christian friends, and sometimes I just want to talk about God to people who are excited about what He's up to, and what He's done. ^_^

So the other day I was reading Matthew, and Jesus was speaking about the prophecy in the book of Daniel, the "abomination of desolation" standing in the holy place. Well it got me thinking. I've noticed some music videos that showed some pretty gross things going on in church. Christina Agularia's video "not myself tonight" shows people having an orgie in the church. And Lady Gaga's video, "Alejandro" shows some pretty indecent stuff going on and incorporates priest in there. I was wondering if this could be something like what Jesus was talking about.He said when you see the abominable things then the ends is coming. I'm not really an end times fanatic, this was just something that caught my attention. I know it's just a music video, but it is televised around the world and a lot of people view it.

What do you guys think?

I too am new - something of a rarity at my age. I'm here because I want to share and learn through fellowship and my primary source of fellowship (CBS Bible Study) is in recess until the fall. Looking forward to meeting other Christians and sharing especially about family issues we all experience.

Welcome to the site to you both! As for the prophecy I couldn't say and wish I could. Whether it is or isn't vigilance is always good what with the day coming like "a thief in the night" and all that. Glad to have you here :)
