Yes, it would probably be a 'false success' as Muri mentioned before. I've seen things like this happen. Let me give an example. I live in LA, aka: Earthquake Country. And let's say a corrupt organization built their new buildings out of cheap materials, and most of the walls are just giant windows. And the building is very well decorated with random things inside and outside the building that are for decorative purposes only and are also made out of cheap but heavy materials.
Buildings like these are a hazard and 100+ deaths and injuries waiting to happen. And the people that have these buildings built are blinded by pride, greed and are so happy about what they have, that they don't even see the chance that they could: die, lose a limb, deal with a giant lawsuit, etc... That is what sin does. It blinds. A person could be happy about something that have, or be too prideful about it and then that person life could be ruined by a simple earthquake.
Sin was made to destroy those who sin. Let's look at your friend's situation.
Parties regularly, wild parties = getting drunk, getting drunk = damaging the liver with alcohol and shortening the lifespan and = future health problems. I'm sure that there are a lot of people in the world that regret things like drinking and partying. God says to treat the body like a temple for a reason.
Has a happy marrage? That could easily change. She and her husband aren't Christains, so they are very capable of screwing up the relationship, especially if one of them takes the relationship for granted
New amazing job? One word... Office politics. The higher up you are, the worse the politics are. The better job she gets, the more likely she'll have to deal with life shortening stress. And if she parties regularly, then she'll probably get fired...
