fear is not of the LORD... you know all the scripture now get busy reading it. Cut it out. Get behind me satan with this. Have you been taking your meds? Your anxiety meds? I have great concern for you & love & yes I will pray for your peace of mind in all things not just this. I'd have to say I have a feeling I'm 92% sure you do not have a bad disease. I'm also 92% sure that it must be very difficult for you to deal with all this stress and anxiety all the time and I will keep you in my prayers as well. Now get busy & read what God has to say about casting your care. I'm serious about this... read and meditate on the promises of Gods word & please ensure your meds are correct.
PSALM 55... http://69.56.234.181/jesus/discourage.pdf Bless your heart.

Funny how you mention this... I seem to recall a public figure who works in this field saying that quite often, young children are misdiagnosed to think they have all these mental illnesses by schools and public health officials/representatives/etc. These children grow up thinking they have all sorts of problems and illnesses and it affects their life and ability to function within it.

You'd have to be a freak of nature to get an STD this way.

Yeah, I'm still taking my meds. The problem is that the meds are aren't as strong as ones used to take, and the new meds aren't fully in my system yet. They have to slowly take me down when it comes to meds, and then slowly take me back up with the new meds. That's why I've been such a mess for the last month or 2.

btw, I'm also getting therapy for the anxiety now and someone on CC is giving me Christian/Spiritual therapy. Not sure if he would want me to reveal his name not.

Could it not be that you convinced yourself that you have it when in fact, you don't? So when you were being diagnosed by so-called experts, you were already displaying all the "symptoms" of having those mental disabilities when in fact, you don't. Does that make sense in a weird roundabout way? o_O

I might think that, but all of my family has some form of anxiety, and some of my extended family has problems with anxiety too. Anxiety like this is genetic.

I know, there is almost not chance of getting it that way... It's just the fact that the chance isn't 0 that's making me worry so much.

I honestly dont know how you cope with so much fear. Life is about not knowing things for sure except God sustaining us. You seem to not have any ability to accept life, or appreciate God's promise of protection. Let me tell you this: if you dont push through the fear, you'll be a slave to it all your life. Bad things will always might happen with something not being 100% safe and you have to brush them off or go insane. I know you'll ignore this advice and still be scared but I'm praying to God that someone will get to you.

I honestly think it has something to do with God that keeps me from going totally insane. Most people that have anxiety at my level try to do stuff like self medicate, drink, do drugs to take away the pain of the fear that they go through. Still, I'm trying not to ignore your advice but it's just hard sometimes...

btw, I'll be seeing my phychritist next Friday, so then I'll probably get on a stronger dose of what I'm taking now. ^_^

Do, by all means get tested... I'm just telling you that I honestly dont think you have this. My heart truly goes out to you Brian. Please do not tell us who is providing spiritual couciling I'm thankful that you are receiving this and dont forget to do your part in it. Also, keep in mind when I was on antidepressants which were perscribed to me when my mom got cancer & i was managing an insurance brokerage & my professional life was falling apart because of personal problems... Anyway I was perscribed these and found myself in mind numbing anxiety in the middle of the night. CRIPPLING anxiety that I had never in my lifetime experienced. My depression was situational not chemical in nature so the meds were WRONG for me. That being said, I am thankful for having this experience as it allows me to relate to a few people in my life who suffer with anxiety... before i'd think jeepers just pull up your sox and get on with life and stop overthinking everything. Now I do recognise that you do need assistance in this area & will continue in prayer for your doc's wisdom to get the meds right and to get you balanced. Have you contacted him to update him about this?

I'd somehow understand your concern if you'd take a bloody paper from the floor and wiped your cut with it but ....

... thinking you get a sexually transmitted disease from an apparently clean piece of toilet paper from the dispenser ...

is neurotic. You don't need your STD's checked but your head checked. This type of neurosis can cause severe problems and worries in life.

I have no advice to give you because everyone here as given good advice, as was said fear is not from the Lord. I think you are letting the devil lie to you and put fear in you about silly things. If you are covered by the blood which you are then you haven nothing to worry about. I will be praying for you. God bless

Well, I've got some good new. It looks like my anxiety med is starting to an effect now. Though, I think I will get test like Imoss suggested so this fear can't be thrown in my face again.

I used to have this same kind of neurotic problems, afterwards those and this your case seem ridiculous but I remember it really wasn't ridiculous back then. You have my full support in this ... though what you achieve with my support is questionable :D

About diseases, listen to this and listen carefully: even if you have UNPROTECTED SEX with a HIV-positive partner your chances, as a male, to contract the virus is ONE OUT OF HUNDRED. If you wipe your face with an apparently clean tissue, the chances of that tissue having living HI-virus on it is so near to 0% as it can get. FEAR NOT!! It's almost impossible to contract the virus without direct blood contact with a positive person - even then it's hard to contract.

Anxiety med isn't perhaps enough for you. Go to talk to your doctor very honestly about all this fear and neurosis, and you can have therapy started. It will improve your life quality 500%

God bless you, man!

What's that? Electro Shock Therapy? Now I'm suggesting that he's going to get professional psychotherapy for his severe anxiety and neurosis.
