Lord Jesus, please help Mary Ann to be calm and rest in you. Please fill her with your Holy Spirit, and dwell in her for the rest of her days. In your Holy name, Amen.

Mary Ann, Jesus will fill you with The Holy Spirit if you ask. That's a promise from the gospel of Luke. :) -JIM

THERE ARE A LOT OF NAMES FOR THE ONE TOOL THAT IS THE BASE OF BONDAGES. FEAR. SATAN DOES HIS CREATIVITY WITH THIS, CREATING ALL KINDS OF THOUGHS OF DESPAIR LIES LIES AND MOREE LIES. HIS MISSION IS TO ATTACK THE MIND THAT GOD ONLY HAS CREATED. TO BE RENEWED. THE MEDICATION IS NOT WORKING BECAUSE YOUR FAITH IS KICKING INTO ACTION AGAINST THE NATURAL. SATAN STRIPES YOU OF ALL CONFIDENCE AND WORTH, THIS IS ANOTHER BIG LIE, HE IS THE FATHER OF ALL LIES. YOU CAN DO THIS. FOR YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTENS YOU. TAKE YOUR MEDS. AND KEEP PRAYING, THE LORD WILL LEAD YOU INTO THE LIGHT OUT OF THE DARKNESS OF FEAR. DRAW NIGH UNTO HIM, AND HE WILL DRAW NIGH UNTO YOU. HE HAS SIFTED MANY AS WHEAT, THIS IS HIS MISSION, JESUS'S WAS AND IS TO SET THE CAPTIVE FREE. THE DEVIL ONLY CREATES FEAR. GOD CREATES LOVE IN OUR HEARTS, NOT FEAR. TAKE AUTHORITY IN JESUS NAME. READ JOHN 17/ LUKE 10:19. KNOW YOURSELF WHO YOU ARE WITHIN YOUR FATHER KINGDOM AND IN HIS HEART. THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR WORD DONS'T COME BACK VOID UNTO YOU. AMEN

What pickles said. Also, if you recently started on them, it might take time for the meds to have effect. Your body sometimes takes some time to "build up" a somewhat even level of the substances, depending on how fast it rids itself with it.

Lord, I ask that you make your presence know to Mary Ann so that she may know You there always, and that you walk beside her though this. You can turn anything to something to display Your glory, may Mary Ann be part of it and be blessed. In Jesus name, amen

Many prayers coming your way. Know you are not alone. I've been where you are only I do not have Bipolar. But I've been depressed and anxious and its horrible. It truly makes you feel helpless and hopeless. Lord I pray you take these feelings away from my friend. Lord I ask that you heal her of this depression and anxiety induced state. Lord bring my friend comfort and joy and let it stay all the days of her life. Amen!

Hi Maryanne38. I believe mental illness (well many forms of mental illnesses) are demonic. I was classified as schizophrenic after doing a 'spiritual awakening' course to work on becoming a clairvoyant/medium (I had no idea how ungodly they are). I was on medication and often the darkness inside completely took over me, so that I had no memory of what I'd said or done etc. God found me at my lowest, saved me and set me free. I stopped the medication, repented my horrific sins, used the name of Jesus Christ consistently to keep the evil 'thoughts' at bay, and converted to Catholicism. Since then, the healing of the sacraments have completely saved me. My mind is so clear and free, it's beautiful. My soul is full and wanting for nothing. I know my mental health issue was completely demonic...and there is only one way to be saved...by our Lord. Please use the name of Jesus Christ everytime you have a 'thought' which is not from you, or from God. Thoughts that are negative, unconcerned fear/worry, doubt, prideful, greedy, confusion, doubt and ungodly are not your thoughts. Living as God designed us, does not include such type of thinking. It is satan who puts these into your head, and mental illness is often a demon within. Please use the name of Jesus Christ whenever you get thoughts like this - he has given us the power to overcome satan and his demons...in his name. My prayers are with you.

Nearly all of us have to struggle with something that afflicts us. Even Paul cried out for the removal of the "thorn in his flesh".

The Good Lord works miracles. He finds us where we are, not where we would like to be.

Some of us are reached entirely in faith, as Maryanne.

More of us find that our doctors and our friends are the agents of God's work. In my own case, with a mild obsessive disorder, the balance in my mind was restored by doctors and medication. I was in balance. Only then did I feel free to understand my place. At the age of 32 (29 years ago), I took a step towards the Lord, and he reached out and pulled me in.

Since that time I have had recurrences of the same problem, but the Lord has always been there to keep my head above water.

It is possible that I should than God for my troubles, because they brought me to him, but that takes some doing.

Don't stop the medications, because many times they help you reach the point where you can open the door to the Lord, and then receive the healing that Maryanne refers to.

I prayer that my story may be of some help.

Amen.

Hi I'm bi polar 32 looking for a support group
You're welcome here. I am sure there are others who may relate. Just as a suggestion you may want to start your own thread by going to the main forum (the page you get to when you click on the "prayer requests" link) and then clicking the blue "post new thread" button on the top left corner of the screen. I only say so because I think more people will see it so you can get your group going. I hope that helps.

I am not a doctor, but it troubles me when drugs are prescribed to cure people's depression. In some cases, drugs might be the right answer, but I believe a lot of depression is the result of bad lifestyles. When a bad lifestyle is causing depression, drugs can make the situation much worse.

Having bipolar isn't caused from being demon possessed as some assume. It's genetically passed on. Just as some are born with a genetic proclivity for heart disease, blowing out their anterior cruciate ligament, or bad vision. And if we have bad eye sight we wear glasses. So having bipolar requires medicine to operate somewhat like a normal brain. It takes time to find the right cocktail. For me depachote, zoloft and l-thyroxine seems to get me closest to feeling "normal". But medicine is just 1 tool in the arsenal. I have also found that reading books that teach on the grace of God helps tremendously. Tullian Tchividjian, Paul Zahl and Martin Luther are a few authors who have written great books regarding grace. Usually there is a comorbidity that accompanies bipolar like borderline personality disorder or intermittent explosive disorder just to name a couple. Discuss this with your counselor or psychiatrist. Continue working through the meds with your psychiatrist (very important). Don't give up :)

Hey Mary, have you ever read any of kris vallotoons books? Especially the one called spirit wars? Kris is a amazing man of God who battled bipolar disorder and he has an amazing way of describing his journey to healing... if you dont..or cant..get a copy I might be able to "lend" it to you through my kindsourcest? I too was diagnosed bipolar many years ago (over twenty) and have heard many well meaning and quite a few hurtful suggestions on how to deal with my wild emotions. Kris' s book really brought things into perspective for me.

Let me tell you this... if you are a born again believer then only God lives inside your heart. You arent poessed. A house divided can not stand. We can not serve two masters. Satan knows our physical emotional and spiritual weak points and pushes those buttons. Chemical imbalances and past emotional wounds can be sources of triggers for your mood swings.

Now I gotta remember my kindle account password. This could prove challenging..

There is hope and a future for you sister. Plans for you to prosper and not be harmed. God created man and woman and saw all their innermost parts and still called us good. There is hope yet mary. I promise. GOD PROMISES. He sent his son for you in love. He called you out by name..in love. His thoughts for you far outnumber the grains of sand on a beach...and those thought, those plans, were made in His heart BEFORE you were born.

You are special.

You are unique.

You are talented and gifted.

You were created with purpose. Mood swings and all.

Hugs and prayers sister.
