Currently sunny and 72 degrees in Clearwater, Florida. I lived in Maine for 8 years so I have experienced that type of skin numbing bone chilling cold. After reading this post I think that I will bury myself in blankets on the couch. I do pray that your car gets fixed at a price that you can afford and get home safely. I lived in Michigan for 28 years also and it seems that cars pick the worst times to break down. I made it a point to repair anything that might break down in the winter during the summer months but that didn't always work either. I was trained as a mechanic in college and in the army so I was able to do most repairs economically but I'm too old for that now and all my tools are gone.

I hear you, I am still working also and will be for some time. It's a jungle out there but at least it is warm in my jungle. It's back to work for me tomorrow.

Final bill was More than expected. But runs quieter it seems and thankful it didn't break down on the highway but in my daughters driveway. Praise God!
