Dealing with something Dark and VERY real.

I wasn't sure how to explain this other than to just tell it like it is. Last night I had a dream that I was cornered in by a rattle snake. I was left with no way out. At the close of this dream I'm not sure if it was by my own hand or someone else's but the snake was sent flying out of view. I have consulted with a fellow member of CC who was able to help me get a better idea of the dream and what it could mean. Our findings were that this situation is one that I can't handle alone but will need God there with me to deal with this most appropriately lest I have any interests in getting bit which I don't. Please note that when I tell you this Rattle snakes are poisoness with venom that can kill if left untreated. In particular it can paralyze, cause you to slowly get sick or even kill. On this level I believe this to be some type of spiritual death. The situation if it's not handled properly will cause a spiritual death that will take a lot of time to recover from. I should know because I've already been through one as most of you recall from a few years ago. Keeping to the point this situation that I believe this to be referencing to is indeed highly fragile and could very well cause me to lose a few close friends. Thanks to all.

Hello mercyswolf. Can you please explain what you felt during the dream? Fear? Panic? Also, you said that you experienced a spiritual death. I'm new here and don't know about your spiritual death experience. I don't believe I've even heard of such a thing. Can you please explain what it is?
About the dream, it's possible that the snake resembled something evil, maybe an evil spirit, that was causing you harm and God with His sometimes invisible mighty hand defended you.

The snake dream I had years ago was a huge snake , venomous, and wanted to devour me, in the dream I rebuked it in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
It vanished at Jesus's name.
I have always believed it represented a spiritual battle won by Jesus for me, I believe this is the same for you, but Im certain as with me, understanding was set upon your heart as given in Jesus Christ is Lord.
I will keep you in my prayers in Jesus as long as you need.

God promises these things to those who believe in Jesus Christ, this is a promise, and he is not a man that he should lie.

Keep your eyes on Jesus Christ, I've dealt with things like that in the spirit too, I've even had tormenting dreams where I had many snake bites in my chest, assuring my death, I've even felt fire burning me and this was just last year.. but I was not destroyed and overcome because - Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world" Its because of Jesus Christ who lives in me, I kept my eyes on him the entire time which was hard for me...because I didn't have people tell me how to do this, I had to learn it all on my own...
But it was love of God that saved me, and my faith and trust in Jesus.

I've also over came many of those things by the word of God and the blood of Jesus Christ, and you can too!

don't listen to the lies of the devil when you hear things like "spiritual death" Nothing can separate you from the Love of God.
God promises this word that he will hold you forever. As long as you keep your focus on Jesus Christ and what the word says he will keep you forever.

If this dream originated from God, then He will also back up with understanding FOR YOU. That said, it is crucial that you spend a little extra time with God alone and read His word at the same time. And the understanding may not be all at once, sometimes it is progressive as time leads.

And after the dream, how did you feel? If you constantly feel fearful, disturbed, lack of joy, disinterest in God's word, then it is ALMOST CERTAIN not from Him. And you can rebuke it in Jesus' Name, cover yourself with the Blood of Jesus and confess Jesus is Lord. And ask God to reveal if there's anything you possess in your life that could invite evil influence in your life. Get rid of it (it could be a book, idol, charm, key chain etc)

If you felt a sense of peace (which surpasses all understanding) after the dream and yes, you may be disturbed initially because the Holy Spirit may be trying to get your attention. Go to your knees and pray for wisdom and understanding.

Definitely pray for understanding, Mercyswolf. It's normal for a dream interpretation to rattle you a bit if it really hit home, but if you commit the matter to prayer and it doesn't bring you peace within a few days, then there's a good chance that the interpretation needs to be revisited. If a dream comes from God, the interpretation has to come from Him, as well. He has not given us a Spirit of fear.......... God bless.

The dream you experienced doesn't necessarily mean that you will be facing something that'll cause "spiritual death" in the future.. It could just be God telling you that whenever you're in a tough situation, call on Him, and He'll deliver you from it. The snake could be a symbolism for an evil setting or a tough situation.. When you're on stormy seas, call on God, and He'll set you on dry ground.. That's what I got from it, anyways. I'll be praying for ya.

I get weird dreams too. Then I sit around wondering "was there some meaning to that???". The thing is that I don't think we should do that. Only one time God actually told me in a dream "do this". I did it. And it turned into a gold mine opportunity for me that I did for over 10 years. So I know for a fact that was from God. The dream actually "told me something". Not just some scene that I'd be left to try to interpret. Unless God somehow allows you to interpret the dream also. It's pretty rare I think. So I honestly wouldn't buy too much into trying to figure it out. Otherwise you'll just waste your time and energy on something that you might not ever fully understand. Dreams are just that, dreams! A way for our mind to wonder, rest and create weird scenes. It doesn't mean it's related to our own life necessarily. It could be anything and everything. Dear lord please help this person to gain clarity on this matter. Amen.

Ok for those of you that have been following this thread so far thank you for your prayers, suggestions, and advice. Last night almost a week to the day it seems like though not certain I was revisited by the same snake with the same setting. White room nothing in it really but me and it. This time however it actually struck at me but didn't bite me as I was able to move out of the way thankfully. This creature given the series of events going on in my life right now makes for a rather disturbing situation but also interesting in it's own way though more disturbing than anything as it still doesn't make a lot of sense to me at present. So, I ask that you all continue to pray for me and thanks again.

That brings me back to these scriptures again I had them before but I will share them with you now.

Acts 28:3 -

"Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand. 4When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.” 5But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects"

(a lot of people abuse this scripture today in oddities, but I believe it was meant for the believers of Christ Jesus, it was meant to tell us that if we are attacked by witchcraft, demonic forces, even animals like the serpent both physically and spiritually that we would not be destroyed, for God has a plan for us as long as we are following according to his word and will and the direction and guidance of the Holy Spirit.)

Mark 16:18 - "they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

I've seen that white room your talking about, that is awesome thats the glory room or..I call it that at least hee hee XD

and I've seen those spiritual serpents too...only they strike at me but have no teeth. XD LOL
