I am asking for prayer for a quick resolution in my divorce settlement. I know we must all want that ! I am out of an abusive marriage and am ready to move on with my life. I know God's timing will play out in it's proper time and my new life will unfold as I follow Him and His plans become reality. He has brought me this far.

I am praying for decisions to be made wisely and quickly and for a fair settlement to be reached. I have had peace through all this and know He will guide it all.
Thank you all for your prayers,
Kare

I am sorry you were in an abusive relationship and glad you are free and safe from this torture.

However, like many in this forum, I am against divorce, and I would find it hard to pray for you for a quick and easy divorce.

Instead, I pray that God would give you peace and comfort, and that your husband would realize what he has done and he would repent and believe in the saving work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Well, it makes me wonder why you would respond if you "do not believe in" divorce. This is not about the act of divorce but about the person dealing with a serious issue in their life. You did nothing but discourage me, prayer is supposed to uplift.

What would your response be if I said that my ex claimed he was a Christian and because he "was the man" his behaviour was right and lead by God? You cannot assume every avenue of help was not attempted before divorce was the only road left.

I am not going to waste more time responding. You are a stranger and although you are supposed to be a sister in the Lord, you do not know me or the situation.
