I will pray for you. This is not our natural instinct hun and you can fight it. We are programmed to think this is what we want and need. Just remind yourself that you have God and truly these people are strangers to you. They do not love or care for you. They do not have an attraction for you. They will never know your name. It may make it more difficult to be interested once you realize it is all a pathetic fantasy made up by the media to make us that way and it only hurts us in the end. It makes us think we need to be a certain way and forgets the loving and emotional side of making love. God bless you and I will pray for you and your relationship. Do your best to pray every time you have the urge to do that. Realize that staying away from it all together eventually is best because you won't fall back into the cycle that way. Prayers to you. Amen.

I need help with my addiction to pornography. It's taking over my life. It's taking over my relationships. It's taking over everything please somebody help me
My heart goes out to you, but sad to say this sick addiction is rampant in the church system today, many pastors, and church leaders also are addicted to porn, and you must remember this addiction will take your soul to hell unless you put it to death once and for all in repentance, God will help, but you must do your part also, and I should know I was a porn addict for over 30 years, until I truly repented, sought the mercy of God, and now have been clean and pure for many years!

The dangers of Porn!

1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals,
1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God!
Today we are seeing a vast array of professing Christians and ministries who treat sin that will lead to death as a calamity and not a crime against God. Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he also will reap.
Gal 6:8 For he sowing to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh. But he sowing to the Spirit will reap life everlasting from the Spirit.
I can confess from being in bondage to this sin for over 30 years, what I needed to do to put it to death. Most in the Christian circles will tell you it’s a disease, it’s in your nature, or you were born a sinner and will not be able to put it to death once and for all. The pastors would tell me its ok, we all fall short, try not to do it again, and all your sins are forgiven, past, present, and future!
This gave me some comfort, as I joined other men, married and single, who were in the same boat I was in, falling continuously to porn and lust, but again I was good with God, because at least I confessed I do it, and am seeking help from those who know more than me!]
But I knew something was amiss in the church system, and could not figure out what these verses meant:
The soul who sins shall die! Eze 18-20
Those who sin are of the devil 1 John 3-8
The unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God! 1 Corin 6-10-11
Flee all sexual immorality Rev 21-8
He who does what is right is righteous 1 John 3-7
Stop loving this evil world and its lustful attractions 1 John 2-15-16
To be carnally minded is death Romans 8-6
Be perfect Matt 5-48
And many more scriptures that clearly contradict what is being taught in the liberal churches today, such as Promise Keepers, and those who write the many books to help one who struggles with porn to do it less!
Here in lies the problem, keeping literally millions of men in bondage to this vile sin and their flesh. No one is preaching true biblical repentance from the get go! The whole gospel is backwards, and upside down, where they tell you to just accept, believe, and confess your sins to Jesus, receive Him into your heart, feel sorry for your sins, BUT you will always be a poor sinner saved by grace! God will clean you up later, you will remain defiled, worldly, and double minded, but try not to sin if you can!
Where does it say this in the scriptures? Where are the few who are brave enough to call the sick to repent or perish, as Jesus and John the Baptist did. Luke 13-3.unless you repent, you will all likewise perish!
The sin of porn watching will kill you spiritually, and If you refuse to repent, and seek the mercy of God, 2 Corinthians 7-10-11, and die with Christ, ,Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf. Then you will remain in bondage to this vile sin, it must be cut off at the roots! Put to death once and for all in repentance, then you must guard your heart each and every day, count the cost, resist to bloodshed if you have to striving against sins of the flesh, do your part in repentance and all mighty God will do His! James 4:8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners; and purify your hearts, double-minded ones.
Draw near to God, He will give you all the power and strength to remain pure and holy before Him, you cannot serve two masters, you cannot be double minded, full of darkness and guile and lust and possibly think you will inherit eternal life!
Those who forsake their sins will be given mercy, and not grace to continue in sin! Remember the grace of God teaches us something!
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, Tit 2:12 teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world

Tit 2:13 looking for the blessed hope, and the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
Tit 2:14 who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works.
You now have a choice to make! Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, or your own and suffer the grave consequences of your choices! Either you kill the sin in repentance, or it will kill you!(spiritually)
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.]
[Please repent of this sin, and all others that will kill your soul!
[Tommy
Biblical Repentance:
You believe from your heart. You obey to receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:32) He comes into a clean vessel. A heart made pure by faith (obedience) Acts 15:9) you obey and keep obeying, daily, to keep your heart pure and undefiled from the world! (1 Peter 1:22) That's how it works! Genuine repentance involves humility, brokenness and is a humiliating experience. When the true light of God's word floods into your soul, you see yourself as you are, in rebellion to God! This is what godly sorrow is all about. Deep regret for your sin's, a season of sorrow, leading to salvation! (2 Corinthians 7:10) not getting saved in your disobedience and sin's, but out of them, through true repentance first where the flesh is crucified with Christ, and put to death! (Galatians 2:20) cleansed to receive the Holy Spirit!

MY dear brother. I too suffered from this. God taught me ow to become free of anything I wanted to. I am praying for you that you may learn this and God's power in practicing HIs word.

I long had recognized I had no control over my flesh. God had given me authority over my body but for some reason my mind and body betrayed my heart and I was doing many things I hated just as you are. God called me to confess my sins. I did this publicly as God directed me. IN front of my church. I could not stop the behavior but God expressed to me to make this confession again and again until I was free. The first confession was incredibly difficult. The second was worse. between the second and third...I noticed that any time I thought of going back to porn, I thought of how much I did not want to confess it again. I couldnt stop my addiction. But I could comitt myself to obeying God's word and confessing my sin. I did have to confess one more time about five weeks later. I spent years free. AS it is written, a dog will return to its vomit, I returned eventually to my sickness. I wasted another few years at the same sick things. Finally I chose to recomitt myself to confession. I returned to my former church(I had moved) and confessed my sin yet again. I have been free from that time until today. All glory and honor and power always be to our God and Father from whom all good things come.

FAther I thank you for carrying me and emopwering me to obey your word. You guided me into freedom throu comitting myself to doing something I could, to free me from something I coiuld not stop outside of your power. I pray that you empower this precious child of yours. We can look here and see how he is longing to be free and bring Glory to you in all that he does. I praise you God for his faith in you adn for his longing to be free. Please guide him and emopwer him just as you did for me. Eppwer him to comitt himself to obeying 1john 1:9 along with the verse that says a good confession is made in front of many witnesses. Guide him into who and where he needs to confess. He has done so here. It is written for all to see. Purify him as you purified me. empower him to continue his good confession to his wife and children or whmever you desire that he confess before. To you our God belong all worship and Praise. WE love you and we praise your Holy name.

here is a good resource Porn Addiction Recovery: Essential Tips for Awareness, Prevention and Recovery if you start searching and start to understand the horror that many of these actresses in porn go through in reality, it will help you to understand them as humans as they will be harder to look at as objects, the fact is many of them are stuck in a cycle of drugs and abuse that is very hard to break, then they get thrown away like trash

many people are under the impression that people enjoy being in these movies, when in reality they are being abused, if you understand what really goes on the disgust will make you want to stay away from watching them, many young girls get swept up into these, get addicted to drugs to deal with it, and get trapped, this is gross but many actresses require hospitalization from damage to their bodies, they often refer to it as their insides coming out, disgusting, but the reality of what you never see ,

Most are so doped up at the time they don't feel the trauma until later. To think these are people's sisters and yes mothers.

Exactly, I was reading an article about what happens to many of these young girls, its too explicit for here, but it was so horrible I had to go throw up, its legal prostitution, that's all it is, except many prostitutes get treated better, if more people knew what really goes on, they would want to stop it, best analogy I can think of,if you ever watched sausage being made, you'll never eat it again

I need help with my addiction to pornography. It's taking over my life. It's taking over my relationships. It's taking over everything please somebody help me
Here's a reality check for the next time you watch porn, STD testing in the industry is a joke, they test for aids every 30 days, that's it, something like 99 percent of porn actors have herpes, and most have other diseases not tested for, think about that and the actress you are watching, sexy huh?

Its difficult to get away from the net today even on the phone, but I think the more you know what happens to these girls, and the way they are treated like trash, the harder it will be to watch, the fact is these girls are often so disgustedby what they do,that they are given drugs to deal with it, and are then trapped by addiction, they are often told they have to do one thing, then told if they don't do things they don't want to,they wont get paid,or even threatened, people in the industry are coming out and starting to tell the truth, what many of these girls really endure is inhumane

I know this is late - but i know that if your still in process, then there are struggles and so forth even now as you battle this

Everyone's post was great, but I saw nothing about Identity. If your like me your father didn't give you a very good identity, he was passive aggressive and a heart full of lust come to find out. One of my last memories of him before he died was him groping at my mother for selfish gain, like a piece of meat.

His root sins - are my root sins - the sins of the father visit upon the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me - I am breaking that chain in my life!

Because these are deep rooted sins in our life, we must bare fruits of repentance - like a vine all over us, it's dead as we are in Christ, and the only life it has is what we give it, in Christ we can get off as much as we are willing too

God is a Good Father, and the way to the father is through the relationship with have in Christ. The Father treats us as sons, as complete coheirs with Christ - all power in heaven is from this relationship. We need to find out identity in Him, not our sin, not ourselves apart from Him - Good book "when good men are tempted" by Bill Perkins

Also when we tend to focus on the "big" sins, we often overlook the "minor" ones that lead to the "big" one. I also recommend "instruments in the hands of the redeemer" by Paul Tripp, it is a book on biblical counseling. You see God wants you to have a testimony of victory so you can lead others to victory. This book will show you how to do both, and will help you to find out what other sins lead up to this

For me it was :rejection, fantasy, and a made up view of relationships with people, and fear
fear is a few things - fear of being known, fear of rejection, fear of failure

In God's love for me as a son however i get: identity, purpose, worth, satisfaction, and significance

You also may have given satan a foothold in this area: If it is unconfessed, he has legal right to attack you and condemn you. Once it is confessed and repented - he has no legal right. Confess to God you may have given Satan a foot hold, rebuke that, ask His Holy Spirit to be your rearguard in that area.

Also think of what your saying - the power of Life and Death are in the tongue - are you cursing what God is doing in your life by saying "i'll never get victory" or I'll always be this way?

For finding and fighting for your identity "who do you think you are" by Mark Driscoll - comprehensive study on Ephesians
, I highly recommend it

These are just a few things that have put me in the path of victory, I hope you get a chance to read it!
