You have my prayers, jj. ♥

Even if you have to give up the internet for a while, do it.
Every time you feel the pull to look at porn, say to yourself,

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. (Phil 4:13)

You can do this!

Father take away the oppertunities that allow him to do this.
Replace this need in his heart with a passion to know Jesus.
Give him the wisdom and insight to have a healthy heart and mind
for relationships in the future.
Break the strongholds that keep calling him to do this.
In Jesus Name, Amen

I have an addiction to porn. I have not been able to beat this addiction no matter how hard I try. I feel guilty for doing it but I still keep doing it.It has been really hard for me to stop watching porn. I would just like for somebody to please pray for me.

Yes young man I will pray for you, but will tell you the truth, I hope this helps:

The dangers of Porn!

1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals,
1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God
.

Today we are seeing a vast array of professing Christians and ministries who treat sin that will lead to death as a calamity and not a crime against God. Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he also will reap.
Gal 6:8 For he sowing to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh. But he sowing to the Spirit will reap life everlasting from the Spirit.

I can confess from being in bondage to this sin for over 30 years, what I needed to do to put it to death. Most in the Christian circles will tell you it’s a disease, it’s in your nature, or you were born a sinner and will not be able to put it to death once and for all. The pastors would tell me its ok, we all fall short, try not to do it again, and all your sins are forgiven, past, present, and future!
This gave me some comfort, as I joined other men, married and single, who were in the same boat I was in, falling continuously to porn and lust, but again I was good with God, because at least I confessed I do it, and am seeking help from those who know more than me!
But I knew something was amiss in the church system, and could not figure out what these verses meant:
The soul who sins shall die! Eze 18-20
Those who sin are of the devil 1 John 3-8
The unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God! 1 Corin 6-10-11
Flee all sexual immorality Rev 21-8
He who does what is right is righteous 1 John 3-7
Stop loving this evil world and its lustful attractions 1 John 2-15-16
To be carnally minded is death Romans 8-6
Be perfect Matt 5-48
And many more scriptures that clearly contradict what is being taught in the liberal churches today, such a Promise Keepers, and those who write the many books to help one who struggles with porn to do it less!
Here in lies the problem, keeping literally millions of men in bondage to this vile sin and their flesh. No one is preaching true biblical repentance from the get go! The whole gospel is backwards, and upside down, where they tell you to just accept, believe, and confess your sins to Jesus, receive Him into your heart, feel sorry for your sins, BUT you will always be a poor sinner saved by grace! God will clean you up later, you will remain defiled, worldly, and double minded, but try not to sin if you can!
Where does it say this in the scriptures? Where are the few who are brave enough to call the sick to repent or perish, as Jesus and John the Baptist did. Luke 13-3.unless you repent, you will all likewise perish!
The sin of porn watching will kill you spiritually, and If you refuse to repent, and seek the mercy of God, 2 Corinthians 7-10-11, and die with Christ, ,Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf. then you will remain in bondage to this vile sin, it must be cut off at the roots! Put to death once and for all in repentance, then you must guard your heart each and every day, count the cost, resist to bloodshed if you have to striving against sins of the flesh, do your part in repentance and all mighty God will do His! James 4:8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners; and purify your hearts, double-minded ones.
Draw near to God, He will give you all the power and strength to remain pure and holy before Him, you cannot serve two masters, you cannot be double minded, full of darkness and guile and lust and possibly think you will inherit eternal life!
Those who forsake their sins will be given mercy, and not grace to continue in sin! Remember the grace of God teaches us something!
Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, Tit 2:12 teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world,

Tit 2:13 looking for the blessed hope, and the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
Tit 2:14 who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works.

You now have a choice to make! Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, or your own and suffer the grave consequences of your choices! Either you kill the sin in repentance, or it will kill you!(spiritually)
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Please repent of this sin, and all others that will kill your soul!
Tommy 2-25-12
You believe from your heart. You obey to receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:32) He comes into a clean vessel. A heart made pure by faith (obedience) Acts 15:9) you obey and keep obeying, daily, to keep your heart pure and undefiled from the world! (1 Peter 1:22) That's how it works! Genuine repentance involves humility, brokenness and is a humiliating experience. When the true light of God's word floods into your soul, you see yourself as you are, in rebellion to God! This is what godly sorrow is all about. Deep regret for your sin's, a season of sorrow, leading to salvation! (2 Corinthians 7:10) not getting saved in your disobedience and sin's, but out of them, through true repentance first where the flesh is crucified with Christ, and put to death! (Galatians 2:20) cleansed to receive the Holy Spirit!

Now you got salvation!

Father God, I pray that you help JJ see the new person he has become when he trusted in the saving power of Yeshua’s blood. Lord help him throw off the guilt and walk in confidence in the authority give to him in Yeshua the messiah. Help him see that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 2 Corinthians 10:4. But to be able to use a weapon effectively we must have confidence in the weapon and our authority to use it. Lord remove the deception in JJ’s mind and help him grab hold of the truth that is right before him. Please help him speak victory and peace over his life our words are power and spirit and where our mind goes our body will follow. Proverbs 18:21, Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Help him renew his mind with the power of your word. Bring people into his life that will help him use your double edge sword in the power and authority give to him in Yeshua Messiah. In Yeshua’s Holy name I pray amen.

You need to find an accountability partner. It has to be someone you trust that can encourage you when you are tempted. Be mindful of what you are watching. Keep the door open when you are on the computer. Get some kind of program for your computer. Remember that there is no condemnation or shame in Christ Jesus. This stronghold will be broken in the name of Jesus.:)

I dealt with pornography for about 2 and a half years. It was during a dark time in my life that I started to get into it, and the only thing that broke my addiction was my realization that it was severely hindering my relationship with God. Often times I didn't even feel like praying because I knew what I was doing was wrong. Thankfully, I've been porn free since August 2011, and although the temptation is still there at times, it's much more easy to resist because I'm focused on God and I want to serve him.

Like other people said, get an accountability partner. Also, realize that what you're doing is not good in God's eyes. That second thing was what truly motivated me to get out of this habit, and I was able to overcome it by the grace of God.

One thing you should pray about and put effort towards once you are out of this habit is keeping your mind pure. I still have a LONG way to go when it comes to keeping my mind pure, but here is something I have done that has helped me. This may help you as well. As you know, media (especially the internet) is loaded with tempting material. Often times we can run across these things unintentionally, and this can often lead people into sinful habits. Whenever you run across these things, make sure to not let them stick in your mind, and get away from them as soon as you can. In other words, if you're watching a movie and it has an explicit sex scene, turn away and think about something else until that scene is over. If you're on the internet and you run across a tempting picture, scroll away from it or get off the page if you can. Then, delete that page from your browsing history so you can't go back to it. Something I've also started doing is "unliking" facebook groups that frequently post risque pictures.

I know it's a hard habit to break, with the help of God and your other loved ones, you can get out of it. As time goes on and you start to purify your thoughts, it'll become easier to resist temptation! I'll be sure to pray for you!

Look ima tell you straight. With Christ inside of you there is no room for darkness. Dont pursue freedom from porn...pursue Christ when those moments come you should throw yourself upon him. its not about managing your sin its laying down your ability and quit trying to use your own strength trust that Christ is your strength and that he is the only one who will get you through this. When those moments come up run to him instead of looking at porn. Been there done it. If there's something you cant part with..you dont own it, it owns you. The only way to beat it is running to him do it. you wont be sorry.

Talk to God about this. I have an addiction to alcohol. I have worked with other folks with addictions (including porn) for 6 years now.
Most of the people I have shared with will tell you that the addiction was the lazy way the flesh took care of some other need.
They will also tell you that the hole in your life that porn seems to fill is a need for more God.
Calm down, accept that you are into porn. Pray and ask God to take it from you.
Sometimes I want to be so right with God I upset myself and miss the Holy Spirit talking to me.

Heavenly Father, We Praise you and worship you. I lift up jj408 to you father. I pray that you will give jj408 an extra measure of understanding about this addiction. I pray that jj408 find your strength to give it to you Lord.
