Hello again. I ask for continued prayers for my situation. I still am not working as I'd like, very little if any. Almost no work last week at all. Rent is due and I just don't have it. I'm still owing for June, and I don't know what to do. I spent the last 3 hours sending resumes, tweeking each one for each job posting. Sent a couple emails to jobs I'd already applied for, stating continued desire and further qualifications. Also, my son is up for a custodial job at our church, which he wants very much. It doesn't pay much but he needs this. So prayers for him as well, please.

I have been praying continually that I am doing what God wants me to do and if I'm not that he show me a sign, give me some way to know what I should be doing. I'm headed to the library right now for my son to do some school work (summer school) and I will do some more bible study while there.

Thank you all for your time and concern and prayers. I know they will reach God's ears loud and clear!

Just keep talking to God meditatively through your thoughts... no matter what appears to be or not be. The just shall live by faith...

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and concerns. I'm staying positive, I know God has this all worked out, I just sometimes wish I could see where I'm going. Feels like I've been on this road such a long time. But not to worry, I remain anxious over nothing, while praying over everything.

Amen, and thank You God for all You have done, are doing and will do!

Father God, I praise You for Your goodness that You provide for us abundantly. I join these sisters agreeing in prayer thanking You that You will establish the work of Nancy's hands. She can be a shining light for You at her place of employment and water seeds other Christians have sown. I ask You cause Nancy's son to be seen with favor by whoever fills the position. It would be a good place for him to meet godly campanions. We ask this in the name of Jesus, precious and beautiful and worthy is He. Amen

Have you considered Kelly Services? I got hired at Chase Bank through Kelly Services. Some companies book thru Kelly so they don't have to hire without seeing what kind of employee someone is. I'm not certain what your skill set is. They test typing, knowledge of computer programs, 10 adding machine, accounting background, secretarial, also engineering, ect.

Is there some place you could volunteer to meet ppl? I volunteered at the Andre Bossi Centre when I moved here and meant a surprising amount of local business ppl (but I do live in a small town). Not certain where youlive but in Michigan we have something called "Michigan Works" It's database employers search and job seekers can answer to posted jobs. You just go put your resume online. Worse case scenario have you considered an employment agency?

I understand how you feel more than you may think. I lost my first husband when he was 39. We had sold our house to get a new truck for his business. I had quit my job about 6 monthes prior so we could move. About half way thru winter semester he was gone. No insurance,so the few thousand saved went for the funeral. He had his own business(and not declare all his income I'm certain) so his Social Sercurity for me and 2 girls was less than our rent. Somehow we made it. Kelly Services is where I called. Sometimes you just get shirt term assignments like when an emplyee gors on vacation but if they are impressed by you they can request you in the future. Hope somehting here helps. God won't fail you- I'm living proof. He's putting together something for right now.

Thank you so much for the thoughts, prayers and suggestions. Your prayer was beautiful. Yes, I signed up with an employment service near by but nothing so far. We should find out on Sunday if my son got the job at Church. I know I'm not the only one is this position and I keep plugging away and staying positive. I'll keep everyone posted on how things go.
