The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him. Nahum 1:7
Dear one, I had always seen this verse as conditional...sort of like "he knows who takes refuge in Him, and if I do not, the promise is null. :(
How foolish that was! His promises are Yes! And Amen! (which means "truly!) After meditating on it this last week, I see that it is simply reassuring us that He knows us! He knows y-o-u, my dear!

I will surely, surely keep you and your precious children in prayer, lifting you and your needs to our Lord daily. :)
I leave you with some promises from our God. I pray the truth of His word for you.
love,
ellie
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matt. 5:4

So we say with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Hebrews 13:6

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deut. 31:8

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Praying that God protects you and your daughters and will give you wisdom on how to proceed....do you have a women's shelter near you? They can give you a temporary place to stay and guide you to other resources.

Do you attend church? They can also help you. If you don't attend regularly please consider doing so....a Christian family can be a HUGE support and encouragement to you. It's never too late to start :)

Reading God's Word and praying will bring the Holy Spirit into your life to guide you....praying that you will seek the counselor and comforter to help you through this :)

Belladonna, I hope you're still coming back to us for encouragement. :)
I wanted to share with you that we once (over 20 years ago) rented a house from a man who never told us the bank was foreclosing on it. (!)
The day came when the police came to evict us (surprise! lol), and we had 72 hours to find a home for our six children. I was pretty panicked!
We prayed, and I packed the kitchen on my knees declaring that the Lord is faithful and trustworthy. (I didn't quite believe it, but I knew I should do so.)
We signed a lease for another house eight hours before we had to be out of the first. Our whole church came to help us move. :) ♥

We serve a faithful God! Often we can't see His ways and purposes, but they are good. I prayed for you and your family yesterday (most of the day :) ) and again this morning. The Lord has placed you on my heart because you are so much in His.
I can't imagine what you have been through, and what you are going through, dear one. In my times of trial I have always had my loving husband by my side. I grieve and weep with you, beloved. If you are able, please do keep us updated?
