1. My father, John, who disowned me is dying of bile duct cancer. He was healed of it once a few years ago. He is Mormon and pretty anti-God. He has less than 9 mos left according to the dr. He has all but alienated himself from his whole family. He is 62.
2. My mom, Teresa, is having a very difficult time healthwise. He is very depressed and can't get herself out of bed. She has to have two surgeries on her shoulder and wrist. She has a torn rotator cuff and carpal tunnel. She is diabetic and was recently put on insulin but can't get her blood sugars controlled. She doesn't want to eat. As of a few days ago she couldn't walk because of her knee. The dr says it's her weight but she's frustrated becaused she's been walking for a year and hasn't lost anything. She can't even drive anymore. Her doctors are continuing to up her antidepressants and antianxiety meds. She is a new believer, but she doesnt know how
to reach out. She is 52.
3. My brother, Tony, is unable to work or drive because he was recently diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. He is not a believer and is very bitter towards the church. He is 33.
4. I have a rare genetic disease which there is little knowledge of in the world. Adults with my disorder are often left to float along without any help. The oldest person who has been thus far successfully treated is only 40, so the adults are always being used as labs rats for every new research project. I had an appt yesterday and my dietician informed me that my medication is no longer covered by insurance because they recategorized it as medical food. My medication $600/week. There is absolutely no reason that this should have been done. There dozens more of the same medication that just require a different delivery method that were not changed.
5. I have been sick or over a month now. First I had a cold, I think. Then I started getting sicker. After coughing up blood and not being able to eat for 4 days, I went to the ER. They told me I have an ear infection and a virus, and sent me home with antibiotics.

Huge hugs Jordache, You know you and all your family are in my prayers for healing in body and for all salvation in Jesus.
My daughter had a difficult day yesterday as well, drs say they do not know how to treat her, another orphan disease, and the medicine that could help is not available here in the U.S.
Last night I was very discouraged for her and in heart, but then just started praising Jesus, because, He reminded me that all of this is just a blink of the eye, compared to the glorious life that awaits us in Him.
I know it may sound trite to say just look to Jesus, but again, Jesus showed me that when we look away from all our difficulties, and rest our eyes on Him, He fills us with His love, and delieghts the soul.
You and all your family are in my daily prayers, simply because, the love of Jesus has placed you there. :)

Huge hugs and God bless

That all sounds very tough, Jordache! I'm sorry to hear about your struggles and those of your family. I myself am dealing with health issues and have several loved ones going through some scary tribulations, so I can empathize with you fully.

I will pray for you and your loved ones. Remain strong in your faith, especially when it's hard, and God will shine through brighter than you can imagine. It's not always easy, but it is His promise that all will work out according to His plan and we will not be forsaken nor left to suffer alone. We don't always know what to do, and the path we should follow may take time to be shown to us, but God does not fail, He does not abandon.

I hope you find peace in prayer and scripture, Jordache!

I will keep you and your family in my prayers. As pickles has said ...keep you eyes on the Lord. :)

James 5:14-15
"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise them up; and if he hath committed sins, they shall br forgiven him."
