I am desperate for prayers. This coming Monday, I start a new medication for my Rheumatoid Arthritis. The last drug was supposed to last 6 months after the infusion, but it only lasted 4 months, and then major insurance and scheduling issues. After 3 years I was tired of spending half the year in crippling pain. (NOTE: This is not osteoarthritis, but an autoimmune disease. That means it also attacks my heart, lungs and brain, besides destroying the joints!)

This drug only is an hour infusion, but monthly and no red tape. I need it to work, as I cannot take any of the back up meds, and this is the last strong medication available. I will be bed ridden with pain if it fails.

Even if it does not fail, it has side effects of high liver enzymes and high lipids. If that happens, I will have to go off the meds. My liver is a mess from all the toxic meds I have been on for over 15 years for this disease.

I know God is in control, but he also hears and answers the prayers of God's people. So thank you in advance for praying!

Love in Christ,
Angela

PS Oh yes, my husband is going to be out of town on work for the next two weeks, so if I have a severe reaction, I have no one to help or even phone 911 for me.

We are trying to find someone to stay with me, but no luck so far. These drugs are very toxic and it is easy to have a reaction to them.

Please pray we will find someone at church tomorrow who can come over and stay with me till the next day. And thanks for the prayers. The pain is getting unbearable. I sure hope this new drug works and works quickly!

I will pray for you , had this since 12 but have been getting treatment since 2006 now I am 33. All medication I have taken so far eventually had to be change. Toke Remicade and every shot but Humira which I am now on. And I believe this one not working as well, but making me over sensitive.

Hugs Angela, I will be praying in Jesus's name.
We have alot of RA in my family, causing much as you described, also tumors being the worst part of it, so I understand how important and difficult the meds are.
Are you a.n.a. negative? I know this can make treatment more difficult.

Ill be praying for God's care, protection and healing for you.

Hugs and God bless

Sadly, my children all live 3 to 15 hours away. I might go to my mom's at least after. I am sero-negative, but the drugs do seem to work well, but the side effects are the issue.

I am going to do some liver cleanses this week. It worked last time.

Thanks to everyone for the prayers - I am feeling a lot better emotionally today, and I know it is all the prayers!
