If God functioned that way then there are many people who would be punished in that way ahead of you. You aren't being punished. We just live in a world of sickness and sin. This idea of being punished is likely a default response to your years of abuse. But you were never punished in your abuse. Your were tortured. Just try to be strong, trust in God's love for you and keep trying to grow out of your past.
