My girlfriend and I are going through some challenges. We've been dating for an awful long time. We've thought about getting married from time to time but the timing seemed to never be right. Now the latest is she doesn't' want to get married anymore. And I can't right now because I have both my legal problems to deal with and other challenges. Now she's upset again because this one girl that likes me was talking to me and trying to push her way into my life. And then they ended up talking which made for even more of a dramafest. Now neither one of them is talking to me. It's frustrating and aggravating at the same time because I love my girlfriend and this other girl I've been friend with for a long time and I consider her one of my best friends. Anyway, please pray for all of us in this troubled time. Thank you.

I'm confused... first you say this girl is 'trying to push her way into your life'. Then you say 'i consider her one of my best friends'. If this 'best friend' of yours knows you're in a serious, long term committed relationship and is trying to push herself farther into your life, that to me is no friend at all. And you're allowing this person who is trying to interfere in your relationship to be in your life, with no regard to how that makes your girlfriend feel. No wonder she doesn't want to get married. You've basically taught her that she is not the priority. And that you have no problem being friends with someone who is trying to drive a wedge between the two of you. If you want this situation cleared up you might want to decide who is the real priority in your life, you long term marriage material girlfriend, or the 'best friend' who is trying to force her way into your life and wedge into your relationship.
