Please pray that I stop giving into the temptation of this world. Please pray that I stop perseverating on the past or how I've done so many things wrong. I suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and this results in my inability to pray in my head without intrusive thoughts and to pray out loud without some form of anxiety, as well. I want to be close to God, and I know the devil is trying so hard to deceive me. He's tearing my faith apart by using my brother, tearing my faith apart by exacerbating my illnesses, tearing my faith apart by worsening my neurological problems and causing me great anger which causes me to sin because of my anger. Please, pray for God's mercy on me. Pray that I am filled and overflowing with the Holy Spirit and that I do not backslide!! Please!! I am afraid of backsliding. I want to be hot in faith, not lukewarm. I want to be able to resist temptation, but it seems impossible in certain ways. I want to serve the Lord and understand, and I am fearful of the Lord giving me gifts, but giving up on me in the end. Please, I need salvation, and I need prayer and protection from the devil and from temptation. I want to be hot in faith, filled and overflowing with the light and love of Jesus Christ.

Thank you

Pray on all you have just wrote here my friend.

Seek him and ask him to come and save you.

For it is your heart that must open up to him.

Stop trying and simply ask, for it is he that will work through you.

Are you wiling to die to self?

Do you seek forgiveness?

It is a commitment forever and if you are willing he will come and lead you making you born of a New Spirit.

a seed that is watered grows my friend.

Peace and Blessings in the name of Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah.

John 3

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

22After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized. 23And John also was baptizing in AEnon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24For John was not yet cast into prison.

25Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying. 26And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. 27John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. 28Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. 29He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30He must increase, but I must decrease.

31He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. 32And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. 33He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 34For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

first i want to congratulate you on your dedication to be strong in the lord, it sounds to me you already are hot for him and prayer may be more dificult for you so do this- get a notebook or something and write your prayers to him. god knows the cards you have been delt with and understands the struggle, we all deal with some type of temptation and i do it a lot but we should always just keep moving forwards knowing god forgives and can heal anything.

GM777--:)

Welcome. :)

I have children with OCD, and have seen them suffer as you do. :(

All I can offer you is, the Lord loves you completely, just as you are.
You express saving belief, and that is all you need, dear one.

Just as some are born blind, or become deaf, or cannot walk, God knows these things,
and looks upon you with such compassion. ♥

He will use this for your good, and to His glory.

How wonderful is that ? :)

The fears and anxieties you speak of are most likely related to the chemical imbalance that causes the OCD.
If you can't pray as others do without suffering, it's okay.
It's okay to take some time and not do 'formal prayer',
but just occasionally speak to God...a sentence here, a thought there.
Read the Bible and expect the Lord to bless you in that.
If there are parts that bring you anxiety,
avoid them for now.

Just don't let the enemy or your own mind condemn you.
Keep telling yourself that the Lord loves you.
He has promised to do so, and He does, indeed! :)
Nothing can separate you from the Love of Jesus. (Rom. 8:31-39)
No one can lay a charge against you. (Rom. 8:33)

Neither unwilling thoughts, nor sin, nor temptations, nor others, nor illness, nor weakness of faith, nor the enemy...nothing.
You are His, and He loves you totally, and forever.

He is patient and understanding, beloved of your Father.
You have been made acceptable, and loved, through the blood of Christ.
Just r-e-s-t in that, for now.

The day will come when this will be past, and you will have a testimony of His love to share with others! ♥

I am so praying for you, my very dear child,
ellie

Dear Child of God, Of course I will pray for you. You have however identified something medical thus, God knows your reason for doing that which you do. He will surely help you through it.The fact that you want to be close to God is the right first step as that enthusiasm to become more aligned with your Creator is the KEY that will open many doors for you!

When the devil does all of what you are identifying is happening to you, you must consider the other side to that coin. Consider how that is an excellent opportunity to become more aligned with Jesus and to gravitate towards His most loving heart. You must cover yourself daily with Jesus' words, the Blood of the Lamb, and His mantle of spiritual protection. Start off by offering earnest prayer each and every morning and before retiring at night. Ask God to show you the way and He will.

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." -- JAMES 4:7 (KJV)

And please know and understand that no one can give you Salvation but Jesus Christ! We can only pray for you that you be spiritually led to receive it but ultimately it will take your own steps to move forward in the direction of personal salvation. If you do not know the prayer for salvation, to become Born Again, I will be happy to post it here for you. Just be sure to let me know, posthaste!

Again, have faith in yourself because God knows how much you are trying. That is half the battle. The other half is in reaching out to Him and being ready to give of yourself to become the type of Christian person you wish to be. It can happen because YOU want it to happen! And when you want something bad enough to happen -- It Will!

May God bless you and surround you with His Divine mantle of protective Light and bring you ever closer to His heart.

Friend, all you have to do is believe in your heart and confess with your mouth and you have salvation. Making a conscious decision to turn your back on God, not accidentally steering into sin is the only danger from this point. If you sin, ask for forgiveness and have the desire not to keep sinning and you are good. The bible says, "we are transformed by the renewal of our mind." It also says that "God gives us not the spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind." I have suffered with the same issue, so I know exactly how you feel. I learned that there is something called "mind binding spirits" Every time it happened to me I would say "I come against mind binding spirits in Jesus' name" Sometimes out loud, sometimes to myself (depending if was around) If the thought came back, I would say it again. I would repeat this process until it stopped. At, first I couldn't tell you how many times I had to say it before it worked but it eventually became less and less. This was several years ago and I still have to do it on rare occasions. I learned this technique from a Joyce Meyer book called, Battlefield of the Mind. I bought the book, read it 3 times in a row, then I bought the audio book and listened to it 7 times in a row. OCD? I you want to message me I would be happy to send you one or both wherever you want. For now, I come against mind binding spirits in Jesus' name. Amen

it sounds like you are putting way too much pressure on yourself and so you need to lean on God and His sufficiency...God can empower you to flee temptations that may be causing you to stumble into sin...beg for God's forgiveness through Jesus when you do sin and turn to God in love through Jesus and turn from your sins and you will be saved and keep on persevering in the faith and you will keep on being saved..may God guide you and bless you as you keep your focus on Jesus and submit to Him in love

GM777, maybe you've heard of Martin Luther who founded the Lutheran faith. He was a monk and they would confess their sins daily. He would spend hours in the confessional, then feel guilty if he forgot anything. One day while reading the scriptures he came across Romans 8:1. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Once he understood this all of his guilt left him. He was already forgiven. You too need to understand that you are already forgiven if you have accepted Jesus as YOUR blood sacrifice. If you have made Him the Lord of your life (accepted Him as your boss and authority) then you are saved. The law was to show us how we would never measure up. We are not under the law. Love God and love others, be free.

Father God, You know the temptations that Gm is facing today. I pray you help him build up his confidence in the promises in your word. Lord, give him strength and wisdom as he leans on you and you provide the way out. Father help him put into proper perspective those things that are behind that have been crucified with Christ. He is now a new man with a new way of thinking. Help him learn from the past but turn over all the pain and guilt to you LORD as your son Yeshua’s has already paid the price for his freedom, Help him walk in it. Lord help him walk in newness of mind and life as he learns more about who he really is in your word and the gifts he has received in Yeshua Hamashiach. Help him find ways to get the most out of his time of fellowship with you. Please help him not be so hard on himself and let anger fade away, we are all growing in grace put we must except the grace given. In Yeshua’s Holy name I pray amen.

Jesus has your back man.........
Trust in Him past your frailties.
(You will please Him with your faith) - - - -
Even in the middle of your weakness!

The Apostle Paul said :
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 - King James Version (KJV)

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
