Pray for Albanian elections - May 9th 2011

Hello dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

First of all I wanna say that I am not much into politics (almost at all! lol) and that's cause I don't like it. But when politics need God then heck I am interested!

Well, on May 9th 2011 Albania is having local elections, and I'd like to invite you all join the prayer of many christians in Albania for God to watch over it and take care of peaceful and righteous elections... That God will prevent any unexpected or unpleasant events... But of course Albania needs prayers AFTER election's day also... The current government and opposition really do not get along so well...So if someone wins and the other loses I believe (and they say this too) that they are gonna oppose the elections results... So it is VERY important to keep praying after elections too...

~Psalm 118:8~ "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

~Psalm 146:3 ~ "Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save."

In the name of the Albanian christians and nonchristians I want to thank you all for joining us in this prayer of national importance.. I will try to keep you all updated.

Well, looks like I have lost track of time as well...lol... Sorry guys I cannot edit this post anymore but I can say the right date here...

So the election will be this SUNDAY, MAY 8th 2011, from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm (UTC/GMT +1 hour)...

Sorry again.. I thought Sunday would be on MAy 9th..lol.. Keep praying and Thanks!!

Guys, thank you so much for your prayers! The voting process went just fine as far as I know...they are in the process of counting the votes now... still have a lot to count... its going kinda slow..but we need to have patience.

Please keep on praying for grace to both sides about the final results.. and that they will be humble enough to accept whatever result they might have... Once again, thank you all for your precious and helpful prayers!!

Hi again guys,

So, post-elections is not going well over here... They are still counting votes and trying to deal with void voting sheets...both political wings left and right are not agreeing and well the people also try to support them with demonstrations... well, I really dont know how to explain all this right now so Im posting this CNN news about the situation here. I think it will be helpful for you to understand whats going on here...

Dear Sister, I pray that our Lord will watch over the elections and place those in power that He chooses, and grant the citizens of Albania peace and tranquility in the aftermath of the elections, in Jesus name, Amen.

I pray that all of our Brothers and Sisters will be kept from persecution, harm and trouble throughout the world, in Jesus name, Amen.
