i can't do His will 
elliot, of course you can do His will!! Each time you obey his commandments, or do something nice for someone else, you're doing his will. Each time you read your bible and pray, you do his will. We all have down days sometimes. All God asks of us is that we TRY our best to serve him. That's it, only try, and if you ask for his help, he WILL grant it to you.

And I thought of Lamentations 3:22-23
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end;
They are new every morning; great if Your faithfulness.
God's love for you in Christ if unending. You can make it more by being good, or less by being bad.
Elliot, no one (but Jesus) can do God's will perfectly. Half the time we're wondering just what God's will is!
And we can't do a thing in our own strength and power.
I pray our Father will strengthen you and refresh you.
I pray He showers you with His amazing grace, for His own glory
and so you may be given obedience. I pray you will always remember that you
are a totally dependent child to a perfect Father who loves you dearly.
I pray peace for you.

Praying for you, Elliot. Sometimes our feelings can try to deceive us, but God loves us all in spite of them. And of course you can't do His will. Neither can I. Neither can anyone. "With men this is impossible but with God all things are possible". (Mathew 19;26) God knows we are going to fail, but at least one of the people whose faith Jesus praised in the Bible is someone who came to him admitting that she wasn't perfect but still went to him trusting in his ability to do good in that situation anyway. (Mathew 15:21-28). I'm not saying oh yes, sin willy nilly, I guess I just mean don't give up on God and don't give up on yourself. God can do His work in you and change your heart to help you do His will. Not that you'll be perfect but believe me God is not done with you yet. Hang in there my friend.

He is always right beside you. Honestly, I would pray about exactly what you've said in this post. I've been in the same place you are many, many times. Every time, I pray about it. For hours, even. Whatever it takes. And the Lord has never let me go to sleep feeling far away from Him. He lets His presence known by filling me with the Holy Spirit. His voice guides me to read from the Bible, or things like that. You just have to talk to Him, He is ALWAYS here for you and by your side. God bless and I will pray for you!!
