On Sunday, I had a bit of pain in my lower back. By night, it had gone into my hip. It is so bad I can barely move, I can barely walk using crutches, and I am taking all kinds of painkillers and prednisone.

I think it migh be either sciatica or an RA flare. But right now, I can't see a doctor, because of the pain. It would just be too hard to get in and out of a car.

Please pray God will touch my body and this pain will stop. I am not the kind of person who takes easily to constant bed rest.

(Any suggestions on how to get over this would be gladly accepted, too!)

Angela, my fellow friend in pain!! I've been stricken since December with sciatica/pinched nerve/herniated disc in back.. :( My 3rd trip to ER week before last resulted in a 3-day hospital stay, and now home bed rest until Feb. 23rd when I get my 2nd back injection. If it doesn't work, I face surgery. Believe me, I truly know the pain you speak of. Unending, constant and torturous.. I find heat works wonders on me. Take ibuprofen if you can. It's an anti-inflammatory, which is what's causing you such pain right now. Take it real easy, don't do anything strenuous if you can help it. Get lots of rest, and if you have honey or tart cherries, eat them. They are natural anti-inflammatories also. :) I dont take easily to bed rest either, but for now I must, or I will be back in the hospital and I cant afford that. Good luck to you, my friend. I truly know the pain you feel because I've dealt with it for nearly 3 months now myself. Keep reminding yourself that this too shall pass. That's how I get through it. :)

There is no space and time with God. I pray Angela that he will touch you right now, that your body is healed. Not by might,
nor by power, but by his Spirit. Be healed sister, from the top of your head , to the bottom of your feet. in Jesus name
Everybody agree for this sister to be healed. With God all things are possible!

Father, you are the Healer and Miracle Maker. Would you heal Angela's body? She is in pain and needs the healing only you can give. Thank you that you give her an optimistic outlook despite her weaknesses. She knows you hear her cries for help and knows you will respond in some way. Honor her faith in your care for her body.

I pray this in the name of the great Healer, amen.

Hi Angela God bless you and prayers for you hang in there girl.

Don't you have a doctor you can call out to you?

Seems you've tried a lot of the traditional methods to ease the pain.

But can I ask something honestly?

Have you tried giving God thanks for it too?

Sometimes to relieve pain, we just need to get a different perspective of that pain that we have. It's how martial artists get through the pain barrier, or how divers are able to hold their breath for longer. By moving their thoughts away from the pain and focusing on it and focusing on something much bigger instead. Like God. :)

I know it might not sound like what you want to hear right now lol but sometimes, I just feel like I have to say things anyway despite trying to be a sensitive man at the same time if I feel like they might help. It's just advice, you can take it or leave it, but I know that it works.

If you have to, go to a quiet place and try to sit in a comfortable position and get into prayer with God. Give Him thanks for everything you have, the current breath in your lungs to all the other good things you have in your life that you value as good like other people, your family, friends, church group, cat, dog, memories etc (anything that makes you happy). The point is, spend quiet time with God who is MUCH bigger than your problems! And by doing so, your mind will not be focusing on the pain but on God and his love and happiness that He has for you in store. Which is so much btw that even all the pain and the suffering that ever has been or will come will be so small that it will pale into complete insignificance compared to all the thoughts and plans that God has for us! :)

So yeah, minimize / maximize. Minimize the pain by maximizing on God who is bigger. Whether that be in prayer in a quite place or doing something that takes your mind off the pain and into a better place!

Hope you find this useful.

Regards.

Rudi.

God, we want Angela healed but we are powerless to do anything without You. It is hard to watch her in pain and not be able to do anything. God please come and help us... send her healing!

Lord Jesus, You know what pain is like. thank You for going through all You did for us.
please heal my friend, and for whatever time You deem fit for her to wait,
comfort her and give her strength. give wisdom to Angela and her husband as to what to do.
pain can skew our perspective and long lasting pain can make us weary, but You are greater.
thank You for keeping my sister through this trial.

Ange---i know you prolly know this, but no NSAIDs with prednisone.
and a loving reminder? ambulance. (should you need it)
love you!

Dear Lord, please remove the pain in Angela's back and side. Let her get a good night's sleep and wake refreshed and renewed. We know all things are possible with you, and humbly ask for your help. In Jesus name. Amen

Thanks for all the prayers and suggestions. I will spend some quality meditation time with God, tonight!

As for the NSAIDs, I'm allergic to them. I had terrible hives last week taking them for an RA flare, so that, (including Ibuprophin) is out! I learned my lesson.

@ Blue lady bug! You are scaring me! Lol I have no idea why this started, but the internet did suggest that if it is serious, I could be down for the count, for months! Yikes! Just when my RA got back under control.

Faithful Father, Thank You that we can come to You in confidence and ask anything in Jesus' name and know that You will do it. We ask that this pain be removed from our sister Angela and that she be healed completely. Lord Jesus, nothing is impossible with You. And where else do we have to turn but to You, Savior? You alone are our refuge and strength! We pray mercy and health and deliverance for Angela in Your Holy and Precious Name, Jesus! We love her, Lord and she is such a wonderful light and such a sweet encourager to the family of God. Please heal her, Jesus!!! Thank You, Lord!!!

praying .
If heat works, maybe get one of those heating blankets (the kind that it's safe to leave on overnight)

I have an electric blanket and a heating pad. But so far, only ice seems to help. But thanks for the prayers!

I speak from personal experience.. AVOID SITTING AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!! And the stretches you do are probably aggravating it also.. try to lay down as much as possible. If you have honey or red tart cherries, eat them or buy some. Their natural anti-inflammatories and will hopefully help the prednisone do it's job more effectively. When you lay down, put a pillow between your legs, to align your spine better. It helps me alot. Avoid bending, lifting, twisting, etc. I'm glad the ice works for you. Heat is the only thing that works wonders for me.. don't give up, this too shall pass, try to keep a positive mind set on it all.. love you, Angela. :)

Angela, I have read that arthritis sufferers have found pain relief with turmeric. It is anti-inflammatory. You make a thick paste of: turmeric powder, honey, coconut oil, ground ginger and dash of black pepper. You can either take it by the teaspoon as an elixir or mix it into a hot cup of herbal tea. Google it online.

Turmeric is oil (not water) soluble that's why you use coconut oil. And the black pepper enhances it's absorption into the blood stream.

I actually keep a small container of this mixture in my refrigerator for occasional sinus headaches, stomach upset, flu symptoms or all around aches and pains. It works for me!

can you lay on your back on floor that is not cold, maybe wool blanket...
knees most likely somewhat up. or a lot. hands on hips. "i'd always think palms inwards..."
Say "Jesus Christ"!
"Jesus Christ."
he might want you on the floor like so for two minutes. maybe 19. :)
continue -always - with throat at exactly "Jesus Christ." ...actively forwards in Love :)
