All I want is to grow in my faith and become a better Christian, but I fear I'm regressing... I've been getting too quick to frustration when I don't understand things, and others have been quick to frustration with me when I don't understand them, either. I feel like I'm seeking Jesus and finding conflict. I'm not very smart when it comes to the Bible or Christianity. I was raised to look at both of them as a joke by overwhelmingly atheist family, yet I now know and believe the undeniable, unquestionable truth that is Christ. I've been doing my best to read and understand the Bible, though I feel as though I need prayer that God can give me the strength to keep the desire alive in me to further my faith and understanding, as frustration, confusion, and lack of the support of others has been taking quite a toll on me. I want to grow in Christ and be an example for my family of how amazing God is so that one day, maybe even just one of them may be saved. That would mean so much to me. It's just hard when I feel so alone on the road towards Christ.

I hope that all or your family members and loved ones - and all of their households - will all be saved.

Christiangamer. our walk with God is not supposed to be smooth and easy. We stumble and fall, we fall on our butts but God picks us up again each time and sets us back on the path. He knows we're going to trip and backslide a million times, and he is right there with us every step of the way!! He is willing to forgive us when we sin, as long as we admit we did wrong. I would suggest maybe getting a bible study guide, or maybe even join a group. If you look online, I'm sure you could probably find alot more information about it. The internet has several FREE bible lessons you can download and complete. I have one and its challenging to do because you have to read the bible in order to answer all the quizzes in each lesson. :)
Continue reading your bible, and pray, pray, pray. Ask God to show you what you can do to further assist yourself on your journey towards him. Good luck!!

I don't know what's worse, to be raised in an atheist family and not know Christ, or to be raised in a catholic one [like myself] and fed lies about Him. It least you have the chance to examine everything with an open mind, not hindered by false teachings from your childhood. :)

This scripture might be helpful to you:

"16
Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 20 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you."

[James 1: 16-21]

You're in my prayers bro, I see God's Spirit working in you.

Thank you for the prayers and insight. I know we don't always see eye to eye but I do thank you for the encouragement and prayer and for our respectful debate on another thread. Im but a baby in Christ, but Debate is important I feel as it lets us all see and check each others insights and thoughts.

Even though I was raised a catholic I'm probably [lol] as new to the TRUE meaning of the Gospel as you. So you may call me your baby brother in Christ. Thanks. :)

Well man, in Christ we will figure this out together!
