How do you know that people aren't praying for others before and after they get on the CC? When I see someone who has a need for prayer, I do what Jesus said, I literally go to a closet that I have reserved for prayer and include them. You know what they say about assumption!
And it is true there are two issues here: one is where two or more are gathered in His name there He is also; Leaves us with a condition. That being, that we are there to intercede on Gods behalf for other's. So we can get together but it can also become simply a social event and a dirty laundry display as well. We are to heed God's warnings to make sure we stay tight by His side and stay in His will in all things. So I agree with you here in part, Jesus went to the hill alone to pray first, then with people. To always put the spiritual truths needs ahead of the human condition, even in answering the human conditions needs.

Yet, without us gathering to pray for each other's needs in Christ, for Christ, and for the will of Gods purposes we won't align in some things what God wants to work thru, to be able to do His will at all. There are some things that don't happen because we simply haven't asked Him for it, the bible outlines for us. So we need to stay balanced in both arenas of concern. Prayer sessions would be great, but Satan would love to come and see how things are going too, we simply need to be vested in God's perspective to guard our heart from doing {which still can be of service} instead of intercessory praying for others. Intercessory prayer then is not a patch work job. God wants us to be involved in opening the door for His completeness of purpose, in the lives of those involved., for us to be His power of action in these prayers. For me mature leadership is important here as well. In a online service we can become as strong as our weakest link. Just some thoughts to pray about, I love the idea myself for God is in control right! I just pray He doesn't have to prove it...smile. ....My two cents anyway. But I live from victory not in fear of losing it so bring it up, bring it on, and bring it over and we will break bread over it!
