I'm married with two children. but separated since December 2012, due to my wife's request.
today I woke up today feeling extra sensitive to the wrongness of this in light of Gods design for marriage.
I pray each day that God moves in our marriage. But I'm not seeing any evidence.
Please pray that God's mighty healing touch will cover our marriage both for the sake of our children and for his will.
May I have peace and grace during this time of heart break.
Please pray God will open the eye of my wife & restore her heart and turn from darkness to light.
make all things new in Jesus Christ!!!

I was in this place, and the Lord worked me through it. These things are not always fast though. In my case it took 5 years to work through.

Father be with your child and his family. Grant him your peace and direction, so that he may move forward. Amen.

Yes, 5 years and together, stronger than before. I know that it doesn't always happen that way, but it seems to me that we both got what we prayed for. It also seems to me, thinking back to the breakdown, and the reasons for that, which we identified over time, that we got what we wanted, and it turned out to be what we deserved, which is not the same thing at all.

At not time, though, did we lose all feeling for the other, nor did either of us allow it to turn to hate.

Prayer, and a relationship with the LOrd, worked on both of us, to return us first to friendship, and then, over time, to help us from hiding from ourselves that we were still a couple, despite all that had happened. I can tell you that quite a lot of it was no fun at all, but there is a joy in reconciliation, freely undertaken, that makes up for it all.
