Please be praying for me. I am married and struggle with sex addiction. For years I was able to "white knuckle" it and only on occassion would I view porn. Two years ago I became depressed and as the depression got worse I crossed the line and had physical encounters with several people. It went on for about 3 months and when I was at my lowest contemplating suicide I contacted a counselor. After a few months of counseling I confessed to my wife. She is an awesome woman with a huge heart of compassion. It hurt her deeply and at the same time she said her covenant was with me and the Lord and that she will not break her end of the covenant so she is staying with me.

I'm seeking prayer because I've been dealing with depression again and the temptation to act out is growing. I am still in counseling, pray against it, meet with a group of believers each week, etc. At the same time, I'm constantly under attack from the enemy. Please pray that I stay strong in Jesus and his Spirit and that I run a good race so as to claim the prize (Jesus) at the end.

I pray the Lord will give you strength, comfort and guidance. The more unhappy we are the more likely we are to commit sin. And then it's like a vicious cycle of sin, guilt and depression. But we cannot end the cycle by force of our own will. It takes God's power and the love of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray you have a strong support group to lift your spirit in your challenges. God Bless!

Praying for you , your wife and the help and freedom in Jesus Christ is Lord.
Jesus overcame the world bringing us victory, so that we will in Him, find the victory over any flesh.
Look always to Jesus, for His victory is already within you. :)

Also praying for you BeenForgiven. It sounds like you are doing the right things and have a good support system going for you, and a wonderful wife. I have had addictive tendencies and it helps me to replace bad habits with good habits like reading good books, exercise routines, etc. Keep praying and believing and I'm sure you've been told you only have to live one day at a time, and that's the way God wants us to live. He also tells us to think on what is good, truthful, beautiful, postive, etc, and that is a habit I often need to remember to do. Remember you are forgiven and have salvation thru Christ, and keep praying and trusting in God one day at a time and believe things will get better. God bless you.
