Lord Jesus, may our sister MollyConnor know how great a love You have for her... and how precious and beautiful she is in Your sight... and how Your eyes are always upon her... how glad You are when she speaks Your name... and how Your heart is overjoyed that she is Yours!

It is normal in some situations like you have experienced, loss of a job, loneliness, guilt, to be depressed. However, wanting to hurt yourself and end your life contradict the most basic natural instinct, self preservation. You said you have not eaten in three days. Many neural transmitters are in the gut. Food sensitivities, malnutrition and diarrhea or constipation can also lead to depression. Please eat some healthy food loaded in vitamins, minerals, omega 3's, some protein and antioxidants. Your body requires nourishment for body and especially mind health. You will be surprised just how well a properly balanced diet can help all aspects of your life. I already prayed for you. Be blessed.

Hey guys. I just wanted to come on here and apologize for acting so silly. A dear friend of mine just let me realize how selfish I can be sometimes. I didn't realize how badly I was affecting my family and friends with all the negative thoughts and suicidal attempts. I also feel like a hypocrite because I try to uplift and encourage others on here and when it comes to myself, I cannot do it! I mean it's easy to give others advice, but it's better to show that advice in action.

So I am taking the necessary steps to stop this. I know I can do anything with the Lord by my side! I would appreciate continual prayer. But overall I am feeling a lot better. I guess it's a process and it's going to take time.

Anyone have any tips on how to start loving one's self? Or how to make positive changes. Any advice is appreciated!

God bless you all for giving me the courage and support to continue on this journey we call life.

Hey it's all good trial and error are how we grow:) as for how to love ones self well I myself have not learned to do this. I despise every part of me that isn't God and there is a lot to despise. However I don't focus on loving myself I focus on Loving God.

Be patient with you!

You´re NOT silly, but young.

Maybe you´re right when admitting that selfishness you probably know and, when you get old (when you´ve get nurture with SOUND wisdom) you´ll know you were NOT the only one.

I wish you were aware ppl, in CC, love you the way you are.

I know how you feel. I'm also alone most of the time. That has caused me to feel the same way you do. I can't live a normal life because I can't take care of myself. :( *hugs you* i'll pray for you too.

I think its normal.. we are on process each day :) when we are on fire we can give advice to other.. but sometimes we need others support too when we are down.. thats the reason we are here right?? supporting and praying each other.. there are times when we feel like giving up we need others and there are times when we feel strong/on fire we can support others who feels broken :) we are here to strengthen each other :)

How to love yourself is to realize that
~ God create you in His own images (Genesis 1:26-27),
~ He has plan for you :) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremia 29:11) and...
~ He loves you and you're precious to Him :) "
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you" (Isaiah 46:4)
~ and many more :)

Well, I'm glad that you're feeling a lot better now Molly :) God bless you ^_^

Did you say this?: "I also feel like a hypocrite because I try to uplift and encourage others on here and when it comes to myself, I cannot do it! I mean it's easy to give others advice, but it's better to show that advice in action."

Hmmm!

I don´t know you, but I have read several things you have read, sometime ago: I haven´t seen you being hypocrite. Your problem, like many other HERE, could be self-acceptance and, the moment I see poorer ppl like me, skinny and sick ppl, lame and rejected ones... I see how blessed I am, althought I wish in another place, another country, isolated from the ppl I don´t like, but I learned to live my own ways, in my place.

Besides, I see you are very cute! Whatever thing you don´t like about you, can be changed (just work on those areas).

The moment I worked on mine (living in another country) I ended up in a place I didn´t own and with neighbors I didn´t like so, if I tried again, I would need more money to do it better.
