Hi godchooses. Don't let the Devil or yourself magnify those thoughts of self destruction or depression. Do not focus on what isn't, but instead on the blessings you have. Say out loud what God has done to bless you. Remember your names sake and remember you are chosen. He will not let a good work go unfinished.
No one of us is better than you and we all go through the press. The question is what will come out when the olives are squeezed; good oil or bad worthless oil. I.E. will we praise Him through it or glorify the evil. When we focus on the evil or the bad things we magnify the work of the devil. I am glad you have come here for prayer. This gives us all the chance to help you stand strong in the face of a great trial.
After all, how could we say we persevered unless he gave us the ability to preserver through a trial. Some trials may bring us right to that edge of almost being too much. Don't let the devil fool you. You will overcome. You are more than a conqueror through Christ.
Jesus made us great by His sacrifice. He has promised to answer prayers that are in His will, and we all know His will is for you to be set free from this bondage of hurt and despair.
Because of your faith, know that He calls you righteous. You are a child of the living God and he has given you righteousness. So own that righteousness. You are forgiven, regardless of what others think, including your children. Don't fall for the lie that you are not.
Instead praise Him and magnify Jesus. Pick something, anything good, like the phrase, "Holy, holy holy is The Lord God almighty!" Any time the thoughts of loss or other evil comes to mind remember that He loves you so very much. You are his child. You are victorious. Eternity in victory waits, but you have so much to do here first. You are a chosen soldier with mission orders. You can't give up! Be encouraged, we are here with you!
Remember you are loved so much that He died for you. That is what He thinks of you. Every time the depression enters your mind praise God until it flees. Praise is your sword in this battle. Pick it up and strike the enemy as many times as it takes until he flees from you. We are in this together we will pray for you.
Father, in Jesus name, I praise you and thank you for godchooses. I praise you for the mercy and grace you show. I thank you for your sacrifice. I ask that you show godchooses the way through this dark time. Let your light shine. Let the enemy flee. Amen. May godchooses continue to glorify you and be more than a conquerer by the power of your Holy Spirit! In Jesus's name, Amen.
