!! UPDATE 13 !!
Yesterday Esra's sister spoke at Church. Esra came home from Auckland last week and was doing very well, however in the past few days things have gone from good to very bad. The arteries in his heart are all blocking up, they are not sure why and he is now back in hospital to see what they can do. His moral is down and his friends have not been keeping in touch with him (his sister stated this) she has encouraged everyone to visit, call, text because Jesus can't provide hugs, but he can through us! I am now living elsewhere and cannot go see him, but can keep praying! Thank you for joining with me in this! He and his family need all the prayer possible. There is no way of knowing if this is the beginning of the end for Esra....we pray the Lord's will be done.
Blessings to all my bro's and sista's in Christ who read this and pray for Esra and his family.

!! UPDATE 14 !!
I know it has been ages since my last update on Esra. Sorry it has been so long. Thank you to those who have faithfully prayed for him. This thanks is not only from me but also from Esra's Dad who spoke at Church this morning. His family realise just how big the commitment to prayer is for someone with a long term illness and they are ever so grateful and ask the Lord's blessing on you all!

I am pleased to announce that Esra has improved in recent months beyond all expectation! Just this last week he had the feeding tubes taken from his stomach and he can now EAT for the first time!!! He is loving being able to enjoy food again and is gaining weight - and looks a LOT healthier!

Is he cured? NO way! Unfortunately, stage one of his disease seems to be in a remission period. If/when stage two hits, he will become much more sick and his life is still threatened by this disease. HOWEVER, PRAISE GOD that he has improved beyond what he should be able to!

The most exciting thing of all is, Esra has recognised God's incredible work in this and the fact that he has had major miracles that have sustained him. He plans to celebrate this by getting baptised on the 7th July!! I will be in attendance to hear his story and see him make his public declaration of faith!

Isn't God good? Even in sickness? Even when life seems unfair? Even in the face of adversity? We have a God who knows the plans he has for us. May he be glorified and may he use Esra to be a light and may he continue his healing and bring him through this illness unscathed to FULL HEALTH! AMEN?!

Thank you again for your continuing prayers and interest in Esra...God is good, all the time, all the time, GOD IS GOOD.
