Hello everyone! I would really appreciate it if you would pray for a freind of mine who recently decided to walk away from God. He was saved a few years ago but has really been struggling in his walk. He told me yesterday he's doesn't want God in his life anymore and also that he never wants me to contact him again. I'm not sure what to do...It's hard for me to even think of where walking away from God may lead him. I tried to encourage him not to walk away but he pretty much said its too late, dont ever speak to me again, and that he will do anything to stay away from God or die trying. Please pray that God will help him to turn back to him before he makes any further bad decisions that will hurt him, bring healing to whatever hes been dealing with, bind any demonic influences that have lead him to this decision to walk away from God, and teach him to use all the armor of God to fight against any further attacks. Thank you for praying! :)

Witnessing a brother or sister in Christ turn away is heartbreaking. My heart goes out to you C Cat, and my prayers go out to your friend. It sounds like he has hatred in his heart; I hope that changes.

I'm no counselor, but let me say this: scripture tells us that once saved, that neither life, nor death, nor height, nor power, nor principalities, nor any other thing can separate us from the love of God. Also, sometimes, especially with the newly saved, once they start going through trials, many just don't understand that this is God working in their lives to mold them into what He wants them to be.

Let him go and let God continue to work in his life. He is in Gods' hand. He only thinks he's running away from God, but no man (thing, addiction, etc.), will be able to pluck him out of Gods' hand.

Also, sometimes in our desire to see people go further in their faith/walk with God, we have a tendency to push them to far, to fast and they can't grasp it. Not saying this is the case with you, but just love him from a distance and pray.:) You did the planting and now it's someone else's turn to do the watering.

Even if you don't understand it now, just always remember: God is the One in control and He knows what He's doing!

God bless!

La Biblia dice ( the Bible says ) that in the end times - because iniquity will abound, the love of many will wax cold. The world is so evil that some lose the faith and FALL AWAY ( 2nd THESS chapter 2 ) Cat I will pray for strentgh for you too, and that the Lord Jesus will KEEP YOU, and not ever let you fall away, because your a CAT - OWNER and I love you. TITUS chapter 3 verse 10 and 11 regarding your friend if he doesnt come around. Yours in Christ.... Kristofor

I'll also pray for him. It sounds like you have done what you can do and will need to let go and let God work this out in his way and in his time. This probably isn't that uncommon for some Christians and can be a process by which your friend's faith is actually strengthened eventually. I'll pray and believe that will happen and there will be great rejoicing when it does.

I pray the Lord binds he devil and places a hedge of protection around this young man and that He bring wisdom and understanding to this guy and that He softens his heart and turns him back towards the light, our Lord. I ask all on Jesus name, amen.

Thanks so much for all the prayers! I get overwhelmed sometimes when I see people, especially friends and family, walk away from God, it weighs heavy on my heart and hurts! But I trust God and I know He will work everything out according to His plan...just hard to wait to see that happen. God's good though and He is in control. :)

Faithandlove ~ I agree with you regarding advice to Curious Cat. If we all
agree with him, God has used him as a vessel to share the love of God, believe
his friend will come back into the fold. I am reminded of the parable of the lost
sheep, Curious Cat, believe Jesus will not let your friend stay out of the fold.
It might take a while but, be patient. We will all agree your waiting and loving
and praying for your friend will bring him back. In Christ our Lord we pray....Amen

Yeah definitely:D I will pray for him, that God may touch him and let him know that God loves him so much. Though he has told you that he does not want you to talk to him, you could respect that but maybe say something like, "I know that you want me out of your life, but just know I love you and will always love you and will always have open arms for you." And let him know that God has open arms as well. Just keep praying to God. The power of prayer is immense, like ridiculously huge. I used to think otherwise, but wow, God really showed me wonderful things:) Just pray and know that God has everything under control, He wouldn't want anyone to sway away from Him. It may be hard, but put your faith in God and take a bite of patience, and God will work wonders:) Lots of love blown in your direction, God bless!

Brother Cat,

In the walk of life we all have been lead in a way other than that which is Gods way, your faith in God and out reach in prayer has set away of hope, in time and staying the course we know our God is faithful in all his ways the greatest thing I felt was even though we walk away from God he will not let as be tempted more than we can handle and as we draw near to him he will draw to us. In all truth, any one saved will always have the ringing of Gods word in their heads as truth is never forgotten or void as he never waste his time when he choses us, we are his forever.
God Bless: Brother in faith

Unfortunately this is such a common thing now days even among our most loved ones :(
We will all pray and you keep praying...i was told this great thing once.
The Lord never lets a lost lamb remain in the wild. Only your friend can choose not to open the door for him, however the Lord will continue to knock on his door and remind him that he is still there.
God Bless!

Yes unfortunately, I know this is becoming very common, I know several friends who have walked away from their faith some have come back and some have not. I am continuing to pray for him and waiting to see what God is going to do. It's like when you drive down a side road thinking its going to take you somewhere better and you wind up coming right back to the road you were on before. I know God is working on it. Thank you everyone, continue to pray! :)
