What if God had written IN STONE?

And muzzling an ox has nothing to do with the ministry.

What if God had written IN STONE?

I would wager that you have a 40-hr, or 5 day work week. Half of the Commandment is the directive to work six days. Maybe you should focus on toiling morning to evening Sunday through Friday, and then talk to us about resting on Saturday...or are you a hypocrite? But there's breaking a...

What if God had written IN STONE?

Thought so. You need to study this out a little more. Matthew 12:3-7 KJV - But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither...

What if God had written IN STONE?

Unless it's about lying, stealing, murder or adultery, I would say your issue is Sabbath-keeping?

What if God had written IN STONE?

I haven't read all 36 pages, so forgive me if I am repeating something already stated. The Ten Commandments are indeed the expression of perfection. And they teach us of our desperate need of a Savior. Our Savior is the embodiment of the Law. They were written in stone, and He is the "Rock...

James Webb Space Telescope Continues to Challenge Big Bang Cosmology

The critical thing is the continual disappointment of the Naturalistic expectations of Big Bang cosmologists. The Big Bang is still Naturalism, not Creationism. But if you actually read the article, you would answer your own question.

    Do you observe the Sabbath?

My question was about what Christ said of the priests, not of His disciples, or of the Pharisees. The priests were doing their regular work on the sabbath, and were blameless. And Christ did not say 'desecrate,' He said, 'profane,' which means to make common. The Temple was a seven-day...

James Webb Space Telescope Continues to Challenge Big Bang Cosmology

https://www.icr.org/article/webb-telescope-continues/ ...in any case, by Big Bang reckoning, we should be seeing these very distant galaxies—not as they are now, but as they were almost 14 billion years ago. Hence, these galaxies should appear very “unevolved” and “immature.” Yet, this...

    Do you observe the Sabbath?

Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? Matthew 12:5 Do you think that could have been said of the other Nine? Do you think a priest could set up an idol, profane God's name, steal, lie or otherwise suspend...

    Do you observe the Sabbath?

That's a fairly broad question, and the book of Hebrews gives a fairly comprehensive answer. In short, the New Covenant is the promise of entering by faith into God's eternal Sabbath.

Interesting. I need to ponder this a bit.

    Do you observe the Sabbath?

Incorrect. This is about missing the rest that Christ offers (Matthew 11:28) by not believing in Him. I would have to deny the entire message of the Book of Hebrews to do that. Because it absolutely does say that Christ is our rest. Pick up the passage I cited at 3:12.

To anyone who disagrees with me

In answer to the OP: Matthew Henry John Calvin John Gill Martin Luther Charles Spurgeon C. S. Lewis I don't think Revelation can be properly understood with out the exposition of its parallel structure illuminated by William Hendriksen in his signature work, More Than Conquerors.

To anyone who disagrees with me

It would strike me as a point of pride to suggest that one does not need preachers and teachers. It's also a bit naive to think one is learning simply from the Bible, when he's benefitting from the scholarship of others in the fact that he's able to read, and is reading a translation.

    Do you observe the Sabbath?

Haven't read 34 pages of posts, so if this has been mentioned already, I apologize for the redundancy. Jesus is our Rest. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the...

    Hello.

My name is Aaron. I am a non-IFB Baptist of the Reformed persuasion. I glory when labeled a Calvinist. I live in the US right in the center, and fear for the future of this nation and of Western Civilization when she falls. But the Lord is my Shepherd.
