I have a suggestion to Guests.

imagine someone who doesn't want talk about their problems openly (not be reconized by their nick) and need help, ask question to CC users, pastors, prayers etc.

I'm telling that cause some ppl have ask me in pm questions and ask for me not tell someone else about their problems.. etc.

So. a Guest room WITHOUT cam and audio, would give permition to CC users get in and help them without they go to other accessed user rooms and make some mass for not to have a register. and after they experience the CC they could go and register to have a profile and to enjoy us.

think about that..

thanks and God bless

With a bit of tweaking, this is a good idea.

...and Automatically who enters in CC webpage to visit could even be directed to this room (Guests room), to enjoy it a little bit.

Problem i see it, is that provides chat without registering. So why bother to register if you don't need to, and still get chat?

Also, part of registering is to help the Mods keep control of the chats. Kicking or banning a specific profile/name. If a person came on as a guest, trolling, there would be a lack of control as there would be no account to punish.

Allowing guests to speak, even in one room, defeats the purpose of registering, and creates difficulties in maintaining behaviors. That's the problems i see, anyhow.

Hi Ugly, thanks for answer!

I think u didnt get it well or I didnt express me correctly...

They (guests) WONT HAVE acess to MIC (audio) to speak and it's ONLY ONE ROOM, they WONT BE ALLOWED to go to other room and say what they want.. as i said it's just to HELP some ANONYMOUS who doesnt want expose thenselves (facts)..

imagine YOU or OTHER CC MEMBER who attend this site for yrs for exemple.. EVEN WE could be passing for a situation where we wouldnt like to expose ourselves with suck QUESTION (problem) etc and we could acess as guests just to ask question we dont want other member knows.. it's just a exemple to imagine what it could be.. but the main propose would be GUESTS who want HELP... fast explain about Christians point of view..

I hope i'm understandable!..(sorry for english not good)

God Bless!

It wouldn't work. The same trolls would come back in day after day and bomb the room with nasty words like to try to do in the Lounge. Since they wouldn't be registered, they cannot be controlled. Such a set up would also make it easier for a hacker to crossover into the main rooms.

I think it's still workable... i mean, a good job made for a good programmer would avoid hackers to invade the page..

I think about ppl who even couldn't be Christians and could be a chance to ask for something they'd like to know word of God or any topic.

In fact if any hacker who wanted to invade like you mentioned he could cause it's easy to register as well, and they'd be in all other rooms and website envirolments looking a way to. so the website created should have the maximun security already set up to avoid it.

think about it!

Thank You. God bless!

Actually i understood exactly what you meant. My response is still valid. Kicking/banning is not only based on mic/cam usage, but on typed text too. More kick/bans come from text than on the mic. So the use of the mic is irrelevant in that point.
A troll only needs access to one room to troll. Granting people access to talk, type, as a guest takes away the ability to kick/ban, as i said before. There is no account to be punished.
So yes, i understood your point the first time, i believe its you than does not understand that giving Guests a room to talk in defeats the purpose of registering, and makes it harder for the Mods to keep control.

Hi Ugly,

Well, I dont know too much about how trolls work in these foruns

But I still think that a good programmer could find a way to even have a room like that as to give suck protection against these trolls... and enlarge the chat for several ppl needs.

IF NOT sorry for to insist..and if it has no sense, consider my efforts done!

I'm just trying to add some to us!

God bless, thanks for replies.

Its fine if you don't think that way, but no getting bothered when someone see's the flaws in your ideas. The site being moderated is a big part of it and your idea left the site open to attacks and trolling.
I don't think its a programming issue at all. The idea of profiles is partly to maintain moderated control over people by their accounts. If they don't have an account to control, there is no way to control it. Its that simple. The only option they then have has IP Banning, which, if i understand, they only prefer to do as a last resort for extreme problem causers and not casual trolls.
I didn't say it was a bad idea, i just said it seemed impractical to implement based on my understanding how things work. Again, it is all up to the site owner, not me, i simply showed possible error.

Hi, thanks

Wouldn't be there some kind of control for IP ADDRESS? should be interesting and it could give reasons to implement that.

IF not, i dont know, perhaps.

Hi, If there is a way of break it up, there would be a way of protect it against trolls as well. I'm not looking for breaking CC rules.

Thanks and blessings.

I covered that in the post right before yours.
