option to delete thread you started

Request for option to delete a thread that you started. Sometimes it gets out of hand and instead of a mod having to do it the original poster would be able to.
Also valuable when you say something you shouldn't have.

Agrees. If needed there could just be some system that makes the mods able to "un- delete" it to check things

For a while, after the hardware crash, if I copied and pasted the title into the thread, the title came out wrong, and I know of no way to edit an incorrect title. It would have been helpful to have been able to delete the thread.

Because of the way search engines cache things from our forums, deleting threads causes errors in their archives. This is the reason we do not allow people to delete their own threads, and why we are so cautious about deleting posts from people when they request it. Unless it is extremely controverisal, it's just easier to leave it there.

Also, Res, It's extremely simple for me to edit thread titles without problems.. If you have that issue again, let me know.
