Three things:
1) Are you a paranoid Schizophrenic? Don't mistake a brain misfunction (no offense) with God speaking. Maybe He is, but I'm sure you would know if it was Him talking to you.
2) Are you reading your bible? You can't pray "incorrectly". God knows you WERE a sinner, but if you are saved now (IF), then you no longer need to feel guilty about your sins. Jesus already paid the price for your sins!
3) This should be in a different forum. Mod help?

If you truely open your heart to him, and ask him to hear you have mercy upon you, he WILL hear you.

(Coming from someone who has had the same trouble)

Dear Bethan,
I would like to offer another possible explanation for your voices, beside paranoid schizophrenia. The devil. I believe that he will go to any length to interfere with our relationship with God. I think most of us, at one time or another, have had distracting thoughts creep into our minds when we were praying. I believe that it is the devil's way of interfering with our connection, so to speak. Keep praying. Keep believing that God loves you. (He does!) When the other voices creep in, beg God's indulgence and tell the devil to go away. Then go back to praying and ask God's forgiveness for interrupting your time with Him. You might find that this helps to solve your problem.
Good bless you!

I hope this is the answer. And I know what you mean by voices creeping into our prayers.

For me personally, it works best just to listen to God through his word. Makes things a ton more simple for me. But that's just how it works for me.

Some times God takes his time to reply. You might not be ready for the answer. I know what you mean about feeling like God doesn't like you, but God has already forgotten your sin. Jesus died for it about 2011 years ago. You need to trust that you are forgiven and the sin is forgotten. Have you forgiven yourself?
