The district manger for our store came in again. And I had not clocked in yet. He came right up to me and told me to stand up and tell him the score (He told me he wanted me to remember it and make sure other's remembered it, though the last time he came he did not bring it up, but this time he did). I stuttered it, as I had not been in work in a few days, though I did have time the other day to do it. OUR SCORES WERE BETTER THAN I REMEMBERED!! But he told me he wanted to make sure the people was able to call it out like I did.
I told him, ''I have a book that they read, where I write the information.'' He looked at me with a, ''yeah, right.'' expression and said, ''They are not going to read no book, I need you to LEAD THEM IN IT.''
Immediately I understood what he was saying. I know this was for me not of the man but of the Lord God. I know he was confirming it what I knew to be true.
Yes, God left a book, but that book, most people wont even read. Like if I told a murder to read the bible, he might just laugh. Even when my parents told me to do something religious I didn't do it as I didn't really care about such stuff. I don't know many people who were converted by the bible. But I know some people who were LEAD into the Truth. I am one of those people and I know there are some out there who are too.
Indeed, the Lord Jesus, when he died he lead captivity captive and gave gifts unto man. He gave his Holy Spirit to distribute the gifts throughout the body, and He was set for comfort and guidance in the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord. I was not drawn by teachings and words, but the power of God which is int he gospel of Jesus Christ. My sin became exceedingly sinful and I knew I needed a savior. Jesus showed me my sin. He broke my back as the Rod. And I am thankful, not resentful.
I am learning so much from this job. I thank Jesus that his grace is all I need. People can have what they want. You can have what you want. But I want nothing more than to know the Lord God. You can work for all these empty things and dreams. But I will work for the Lord Jesus. If the Lord asked you like he did Solomon, ''What do you desire, I will give it to you?'' What would you say? What are the desires of YOUR heart?
My desire is to know my Lord, to be saved from my sin. To never be deceived. To live with him forever. To see people come to him. To give up all of my life to serve him. I am not fully here yet. But THAT is what I work for. So let me work. I know who my savior is, because his grace overshadows me. You cannot put me back into condemnation with your wise words of vanity!! Jesus knows who I am, and I am his servant, so let me serve for pleasing my Father. I don't care to please men, because men are so complicated. I desire to please Jesus, and if I am pleasing to him, I know he will provide for me his favor even in bad times.
