I became a christian around mid this year and have had a encounter a few months back but this one was more personal.
I sat in my computer chair asking God to fill me with the holy spirit and to make yourself known more to me. A few moments later i closed my eyes and the first image that came to me was jesus christ smiling at me then that went from him appearing a few steps away from me. I open my eyes and could feel this strong sensation of love and acceptance, it touched so deep in my soul that i just lost it and started crying then laughing because i could feel his thoughts towards me. All that was going on in my head was him singing to me *you are so beautiful to me, cant you see* I was laughing with so much joy because he just made it feel so humorous but with cute love.

I could go on and on after such an experience but thats it :)

I hope this touched other peoples hearts, May gods grace be with you always.

These are unusual so most people have difficulty believing.

thank you for sharing. I hope I can open up my heart to let God in so that I can feel all the love he has for me that I haven't been able to hear. I know he doesn't get frustrated at me but I sure would be if I were him :)which is why he's God lol

I have had a similarly powerful experience when I first became born again. I felt myself go from darkness to light. From death to life. From sin, to forgiven, pure and redeemed. Simply the most powerful experience of my entire life. God is too big, too awesome to put into words.

Just be cautious. These are good experiences but Charismatics tend to focus on them and chase them. Which is not how its meant to be. So enjoy when they happen, but let God dictate that, not yourself.
