I like being home but once a week, I feel like a change of scenery. This is one of those days.
I eagerly got dressed, got in my car and drove with no specific place in mind to go to. While driving, I decided to have a chat with God. I wanted some direction in life. I told him that whatever he had in mind for me to do, I was ready. A few years ago, a mysterious man told me God has a plan for me. I waited and waited but nothing happened. I asked God to let me know very clearly what he wanted me to do. I asked him to make sure that I will not miss his message.
I stopped at a shop, went in just to browse. A kitchen appliance caught my attention. As it was at the lowest shelf, I knelt on the floor to read the label. I became aware of a tall man standing right next to me. He was so close, his leg briefly brushed my arm. I looked up at him and went back to what I was doing. This man was talking to someone on his mobile phone. In a very LOUD voice, practically just above my head, he said "Read the bible every night." I got a bit annoyed. I was wondering why he would choose to stand so close to me when the shop was so spacious. I looked up but I was only able to see what he was wearing. There was a bright light behind his head, making it impossible for me to make out his facial features. He was tall, had a long sleeved white shirt and tan coloured long trousers. Before I could get a look at his face, he walked away quickly. Then, he said to whoever it was he was talking to on the phone, "Just try to read one chapter every night." He must have gone right after that because I did not hear his voice again.
On my way home, the thought of that man was still with me. Then, I had a giggle when I realized what just happened.
God indeed gave me his message VERY CLEARLY.
