Let me start by saying the God we serve is amazing! He's so good! So true! So faithful!
He has done some amazing things through me.
I am 25 years old. I didn't grow up on a spiritual church background. Not that we were Anti-Christ or anything. We just didn't attend church regularly ..
When I was 24 I gave my life over to God.
I was a homosexual, I was into drugs, alcohol and sleeping pills.
As I would pray I asked God to use me and change me to make me what he wants me to be.
Wow was I in for a surprise!
He started my changing my sexual orientation! Which I thought was so interesting.
I knew it was a sin but didn't feel it in my heart.
Then he took awayy alcohol and sleeping pills.
Finally.. He took away my weed addiction!
Don't get me wrong. That's not all I had wrong with me. Lol
I was damaged!
I was sexually molested 3 times by family . Thankfully not at the same time (I make humor out of everything)
I had a mom who did "mom" things for me.
I had a step dad and we didn't really talk unless we absolutely had to.
Let me say this real quick! If you pray for God to "use you" be prepared!
Emotionally and mentally!
He used me around my family. Being that I was around them the most.
My family took notice of my changes and even though they said they were happy for me, their actions and words showed differently .
I lost one really good friend (or so I thought) because he thought I neglected our friendship because I didn't smoke weed, drink alcohol or party. I was literally in my bible all day. Lol
God is so amazing guys! I can't get enough of him. My whole life now surrounds his word or people that he uses (preachers) spiritual books and now a lovely family..
Through my bad times...(I didn't know it at the time) but he never left my side. Even though I didn't know it at the time, it was foolish of me to even think it! I still got a lot of learning to do. My boss (who is very godly) believes God is going to use me for something special.
A few other people told me the same thing. It's exciting stuff!
I went from going out 3-5 times a week to reading his word 7 days a week and watching broadcast and listening to podcast 7 days a week.. It's not a bad switch over at all! I absolutely love it!
