One day finally I had enough! I looked at the man in the mirror.He was a young man,not to bright,very selfish,full of what one sees in the mirror. I even took a chair to sit down on, and really pay attention to what one truly looks at in the mirror. Tears started to form in the mirror,I wiped them clean. A lost scared man,who in front of others would never admit it! Would never care for another because of his own self being more important.
Thoughts came as i looked,and it appeared that I saw much of my life through that mirror,i remembered back to this time and that,why when i saw someone who really needed a kind word, or a gentle hand where was I?? I was there next to them,but never payed any attention to them?
An old lady being bullied,and I just laughed,a small child being hit by another,thinking better them then me.Seeing people weep,looking for someone, anyone to guide them,not me!! I am to busy! Plus I really do not care!!No one sure ever came to my aid! That was the OLD man in the mirror!
Jesus came to join me in the mirror,and said is it not time for a big change? A change that you can believe in,a change not done by you on the outside,but rather by me on your inside,changing you from within.So that others may give glory unto me! I decided to follow Jesus brothers and sisters!The change did not happen overnight! No brothers and sister it took some time,but I noticed the change every time I looked, after the Lord came into my life.( psalm 127:1)
And now through discipline in and by his Word,( 1 cor9:27)my thought pattern also changed!( rom 12:1-2) People for some reason now drew near to me?? ME?? No not me, Jesus in me! And his wisdom poured forth like a sun rise over a great storm! The man in the mirror so long ago has changed.Is it not time for you to truly look as well brothers and sisters??
Many do not because of fear,they know, they just do not wish to ever become accountable.But whether we like or not, there is a day of accountability,why not start today! I can tell you this with all of my heart good brothers and sisters!!It is worth the time you take in the Mirror! ( 1 cor 13:11-13)
Jesus is willing to take his time in the mirror with you!!He is not laughing,nor is he walking away to busy for you!He has time,will you take your time to both learn and grow through him? I know there is much debate inside the man in the mirror,there sure was with me,but I was so very unhappy, I knew there just had to be a better way! There is!! ( john 14:6)
The new man in the mirror has learned much from the Lord!! There is also much to still learn to! ( john 13:34) Bringing a permanent smile to this man in the mirror now! LOVE NEVER FAILS!! ( 1 Cor 13:4-8) Make that change!!! I am not telling you to,i am asking you to!
You will never be so happy making that change,and others will confirm the wonderful change in you as well! It is time,time to look at your person in the mirror!Awake from your sleep!! ( rom 13:11-14) This just may be your final warning!!!! I sure thought so for me!!I have faults still,but no longer towards others in love brothers and sisters!!And that is a great start!!Blessing to all of you who hear this Word and do it!( Luke 11:28!!) Not only will you stay thankful!! But others will be so very thankful to Jesus as well in you!!!amen!
