Even John the Baptist got to a point in his life where he needed reassurance that the man he publicly pointed to and said was the Son of God, was the Christ. I got to that point around the age of twelve. I was raised in church to believe in Christ Jesus, but got to the point that I needed more than the faith of my mother and father to believe. I remember sitting on the second pew, on the left, from the front of the church sanctuary. The preacher was red faced from preaching the word of God, and it was very, very loud coming across the PA system. I said to myself, "All my life I have believed in Jesus because I was taught to, but now, I'm twelve years old, and I could be doing something that's fun, instead of listening to the same old sermon every Sunday night. I need to know that Jesus is real, and not just a big waste of time.

( I was sincere. I needed to know for myself, and not because I was raised up to believe.) I said to myself, If I don't know by the end of this service, I may have to be here in person, but I won't be here in spirit. No sooner than I had finished the thought, the door, next to the piano, on the right side of the sanctuary opened and a white cloud separated the podium and pulpit where the preacher was and the congregation. I thought there was a fire, but nobody moved. The room went silent, yet I could still see the preacher, just as red faced as ever, still preaching the word of God, but no sound! The white cloud opened up, and I saw two nail pierced hands emerge from the white cloud, and then two arms all the way up to the elbows. I then remembered what I had thought to myself about what I had thought to myself and needing more than just the reassurance of the faith of my mother and father, and simply said, "okay". The cloud immediately closed, receded the way it came in, the door closed and I could hear the preaching again.

Matt.16:17, And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. There are people would deny Christ, even if He were to stand in front of them. I'm not one of them. Christ Jesus is a reality. He is my Lord, and Savior. He is the risen Savior of this world and Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
