Hi guys,

I just thought I should share, once again PRAYER changes things! I totally believe this. Ok, so some friends of mine smoke weed and I have always been trying to get them to quit. However, I gave up talking and decided to pray for them. I always remembered them in my prayers as often as possible. 3yrs back, one of them stopped smoking and gave his life to Christ..AMEN… and then a month ago, I was talking to another and he told me he had quit smoking. This was very good news for me as I had been praying for them to quit. Now I pray that he too may give his life to Christ.

So, point of the story is that prayer works! We don’t know how long it takes, our timing is not God’s timing and God has his own plans all we have to do is keep trusting and believing.

Be blessed.

Dear SMK! That is such a beautiful testimony! Thanks for sharing! Prayer is powerful indeed! And God always listens to our prayers...even when we think He does not... "Be still and know I am God" - He says...We should only wait upon Him...and never give up prayer..

9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. ~ Luke 11:9-10 ~

Thanks again for sharing! We all need in time to time to hear such testimonies that help us never give up on prayer and Him...and realize His power and Grace, and the wonderful things He can do in our lives and whoever we lift up in prayer to Him..

God bless!

~In Christ, El~

Prayer definitely works! It is always amazing when we support our prayers with belief. Your testimony has reminded me of some of the half hearted prayers we throw up to God sometimes. I am in no means saying that you do not back your prayer with belief, I was just saying that that is what God reminded me of in this testimony. Thank you for sharing!

Frolorn-Hope, you are right. It is not the worst they could be doing, but it isn't anything to brag about. Drugs can get people in big trouble. As Christians, we are called to pray for them and reach out to them. Don't justify or condemn their actions, just love them like Christ did and pray for them.

People will grasp at straws any random "coicidence" to add credibility to what they believe :) It's human nature, and runs through religion like a disease.
