There once lived a boy who was the eldest born unto a house of lost souls and this boy lived next to a little white church at a crossroads known as Harmony Corners with his two brothers and their best and only friend (or so they thought) and most every day growing up if the weather was fair would find these boys and there best friend playing in the yard of the church (for their were no other children for miles around) where in the midst of the yard grew a wild cherry tree which in time did become scabbed with scars from some of the abuse incurred by the boys and their playing in the tree as boys will do. Now it came to pass as they grew up each of the four boys went their seperate ways one doing this and the other doing that and each thought that his life was as full as it could ever be. Now the oldest of the three brothers who also happened to be the oldest of all the boys in his 40th year looked around and said in his heart look at my countenance I have done well for myself I have everything I could want I lack for nothing and was the envy of his brothers and many of his friends but still he wanted more. So it was that as he was admiring his belongings that he was stricken with a great disease in his leg called cellulitis which is very difficult to treat even with modern antibiotics and can transgress into "the flesh eating disease" but this did not deter him from his wicked ways for he was a very wicked man full of himself and full of many iniquities and did very grievous evil in the sight of the lord and broke every single commandment save 1 which is he did not commit murder. Even though he was stricken with this very serious illness he did not repent of his sins and continued to do evil and in some instances even more wickedly than ever before so as it came to pass he was afflicted yet again with cellulitis so much so that he ws rushed to the hospital with a fever of 106 degrees farenheit and his leg became as bloated and large as some peoples waistlines 25-28 inches in circumference and the skin did split as it was stretched beyond the breaking point and it weeped puss and looked as though he had leprosy and he cursed the Lord for his disfiguration and was so lame that he had to rely on his workmen to finish the structure he was building at the time for a client of his. Well as it so happened because of his lameness he could no longer perform his job and had to remain at home with his leg above his heart so that the inflammation would not be so severe. In so doing he lost much of the work that came to him and his countenance fell drastically so much so that he worried about losing all his worldly posessions and all that he had accumulated. It was in this time that his lameness subsided but the disease never left completely and he became very saddened and depressed and would do nothing but placate himself with herbs of the field and licentousness for his heart was hardened from the evil that he did continuously. Then he was as in a darkness so dark and so foreboding that it was as black as a night without the stars or moon and this is when he first did pray unto the Lord for knowledge and wisdom and forgiveness. Very shortly thereafter he started watching commentaries and shows on Youtube and other various places on the internet and slowly at first he started to see the wickedness of man before him then the more he watched the more he saw and it moved him greatly towards compassion for his fellow man. Now this man, the oldest of three brothers began to see the world in a totally different light and he tried to tell his best friend what he saw but he would not hear of it and his friend whom he had known longer than anyone else save his own brothers or parents "that's just the way it is get over it quit watching that crap and move on" but he refused something told him that their was a lot of truth in what he had seen and he felt compelled to speak out about the atrocities he had seen but everyone he knew refused to listen, even his own wife, children and other friends whom he loved very much. Then one day a feeling came upon him that he could not describe a feeling of the utmost love and compassion that he had ever felt in his entire life. This happened as he was reading the bible on his laptop. He had read the bible before mostly since he was a young boy but the word never came to him as it did this day. Then as it happened his middle brother was getting married and it happened to be at the little white church right where he grew up next to and played many days as a boy. The wild cherry tree was gone and in it's place a new garden of daylilies in full bloom and as the minister was finished speaking and the vows were being said that he looked out the window of the little old white church which his granfather had a hand in building 117 years prior and a great calm came over him and then he looked into the eyes of his middle brother and tears of joy welled up in him so much so that his eyes looked like pools of water yet not one tear fell. After the wedding a few days later he began reading the word of God and he kept that website on his laptop open for 3 days never turning it off. On the third day he was hungry and said to himself I am going fishing something he hadn,t done in a long time. So he went to the top of a falls near where he lived and there was a trail and it broke into three paths he hurriedly went to the first path on the right over the stones and casted his rod in the water many times and caught nothing so he said to himself lets check out the path to the left of the trail passing the little trail that went straight on to the river and casted many times still to catch nothing so it was that he came back to the fork in the trails and went straight this time down a narrow little path and came to the river. When he got there he casted many times and still nothing then he prayed to the Lord and said "Lord if I have found favour in thine eyes let this cast bring me a fish that I may eat and he had no sooner thought these very words when a 3-4 pound pike nailed his line and he reeled it in. Immediately knowing this was from God he threw the fish upon the bank and dropped to his knees and gave thanks to the Lord for all that he had done and his eyes and ears became more acute than ever before to the word of the Lord and so it is today that I find myself writing this story to you of how I found the Lord and I pray that I will never again be lost in the wilderness of sin and depravity as I once was. For Jesus has filled my heart with love eternal something I now cherish above all the riches in the world. This is my testament to the Lord. This story is not fiction but the whole unadulterated truth as best as I am able to reitterate with my limited abilities given unto me. So sayeth I (The Muskokaman) this day August 21 2011
