70 weeks of Dan 9.
Dan 9:24-27 read in context.

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

When does the time start? And finish?

This is from
https://www.gotquestions.org/seventy-weeks.html

The “seventy weeks” prophecy is one of the most significant and detailed Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament. It is found in Daniel 9. The chapter begins with Daniel praying for Israel, acknowledging the nation’s sins against God and asking for God’s mercy. As Daniel prayed, the angel Gabriel appeared to him and gave him a vision of Israel’s future.

The Divisions of the 70 Weeks
In verse 24, Gabriel says, “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city.” Almost all commentators agree that the seventy “sevens” should be understood as seventy “weeks” of years, in other words, a period of 490 years. These verses provide a sort of “clock” that gives an idea of when the Messiah would come and some of the events that would accompany His appearance.

The prophecy goes on to divide the 490 years into three smaller units: one of 49 years, one of 434 years, and one 7 years. The final “week” of 7 years is further divided in half. Verse 25 says, “From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’” Seven “sevens” is 49 years, and sixty-two “sevens” is another 434 years:

49 years + 434 years = 483 years

The Purpose of the 70 Weeks
The prophecy contains a statement concerning God’s six-fold purpose in bringing these events to pass. Verse 24 says this purpose is 1) “to finish transgression,” 2) “to put an end to sin,” 3) “to atone for wickedness,” 4) “to bring in everlasting righteousness,” 5) “to seal up vision and prophecy,” and 6) “to anoint the most holy.”

Notice that these results concern the total eradication of sin and the establishing of righteousness. The prophecy of the 70 weeks summarizes what happens before Jesus sets up His millennial kingdom. Of special note is the third in the list of results: “to atone for wickedness.” Jesus accomplished the atonement for sin by His death on the cross (Romans 3:25; Hebrews 2:17).

The Fulfillment of the 70 Weeks
Gabriel said the prophetic clock would start at the time that a decree was issued to rebuild Jerusalem. From the date of that decree to the time of the Messiah would be 483 years. We know from history that the command to “restore and rebuild Jerusalem” was given by King Artaxerxes of Persia c. 444 B.C. (see Nehemiah 2:1-8).

The first unit of 49 years (seven “sevens”) covers the time that it took to rebuild Jerusalem, “with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble” (Daniel 9:25). This rebuilding is chronicled in the book of Nehemiah.

Converting the 360-day year used by the ancient Jews, 483 years becomes 476 years on our solar calendar. Adjusting for the switch from B.C. to A.D., 476 years after 444 B.C. places us at A.D. 33, which would coincide with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–9). The prophecy in Daniel 9 specifies that, after the completion of the 483 years, “the Anointed One will be cut off” (verse 26). This was fulfilled when Jesus was crucified.

Daniel 9:26 continues with a prediction that, after the Messiah is killed, “the people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary.” This was fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70. The “ruler who will come” is a reference to the Antichrist, who, it seems, will have some connection with Rome, since it was the Romans who destroyed Jerusalem.

The Final Week of the 70 Weeks
Of the 70 “sevens,” 69 have been fulfilled in history. This leaves one more “seven” yet to be fulfilled. Many scholars believe that we are now living in a huge gap between the 69th week and the 70th week. The prophetic clock has been paused, as it were. The final “seven” of Daniel is what we usually call the tribulation period.

Daniel’s prophecy reveals some of the actions of the Antichrist, the “ruler who will come.” Verse 27 says, “He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’” However, “in the middle of the ‘seven,’ . . . he will set up an abomination that causes desolation” in the temple. Jesus warned of this event in Matthew 24:15. After the Antichrist breaks the covenant with Israel, a time of “great tribulation” begins (Matthew 24:21, NKJV).

Daniel also predicts that the Antichrist will face judgment. He only rules “until the end that is decreed is poured out on him” (Daniel 9:27). God will only allow evil to go so far, and the judgment the Antichrist will face has already been planned out.

Conclusion
The prophecy of the 70 weeks is complex and amazingly detailed, and much has been written about it. Of course, there are various interpretations, but what we have presented here is the dispensational, premillennial view. One thing is certain: God has a time table, and He is keeping things on schedule. He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10), and we should always be looking for the triumphant return of our Lord (Revelation 22:7)

And finish?

In this prophecy, the "seventy weeks" represent a period of time that is often interpreted as symbolic rather than literal. In biblical prophecy, a day can represent a year (Numbers 14:34, Ezekiel 4:6), so seventy weeks would amount to 490 years.

The starting point of the seventy weeks is typically understood to be the decree to rebuild Jerusalem. There were several decrees issued regarding the restoration of Jerusalem, but the one often considered as the starting point of this prophecy is the decree of Artaxerxes I in 445/444 BC, as recorded in Nehemiah 2:1-8.

The ending point, "unto the Messiah the Prince," refers to the coming of Jesus Christ. The traditional interpretation places the end of the seventy weeks at the baptism of Jesus or the beginning of His public ministry, which occurred around 27-30 AD.

To calculate the time span from the decree to the coming of the Messiah, the "seven weeks" (49 years) and the "threescore and two weeks" (62 weeks, totaling 434 years) as sequential periods. Adding them together gives a total of 483 years from the decree to the time of the Messiah.

So, if you count 483 years from the decree of Artaxerxes I in 445/444 BC, it would bring you to the ministry of Jesus Christ, which aligns with the time frame of His appearance and ministry as recorded in the New Testament.

I am nor certain of this but it seems to make sense, Many prophecies have also a dual meaning but I cannot seethis one related to present Israel.

Blessings.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks--------( 49 years )

Thinking of the discussion Jesus had with the pharisees:

The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” And the Lord's ministry was about 3 years making it 49 years total

When did it start? IMO the prophecy is including the temple as well as Jerusalem. And also includes the Tribulation of 7 years because it brings an end to sins, and the fact 7 years are missing from the 490 years.

In Matthew 18 Peter asked the Lord how many times do we forgive? Seven times? And the Lord answered:

“I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.

I think this was a parable about Israel and Daniel's 70 X 7 or 70 weeks.

The 434 years or 62 sevens I think started when Solomon started to build the temple.

1 Kings 6:1 In the four hundred and eightieth year after the people of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, he began to build the house of the Lord.

I have this starting in year 967 BC and looking at the reign of Kings of Israel I can come very close to the 434 years but not exactly. So the 434 if applied here would come to year 533 BC. Just some thoughts from a previous study.

The time of the 70 weeks started when Cyrus gave the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem. It is claimed that it was in 537 BC. But 537-30 (year Christ was crucified) = 507, and that cannot be correct. Sixty nine weeks of years = 69 x 7 = 483. And 507-483 = 24. So that is 24 years more than required, which means that Ptolemy's dating system was off. Anstey corrected properly.

And one "week" of years (7 years) remains for the future. The prophecy will be completely fulfilled when total righteousness and peace are established by Christ on earth. Please note:..to bring in everlasting righteousness...

The Bible says that Israel has 70 weeks, 490 years, to make an end of sin, bring in everlasting righteousness, and anoint the most Holy who is Jesus.

The nation of Israel has 490 years to come to the truth that Jesus is their Lord and Savior.

It is obvious that Israel has not fulfilled the 70 weeks for they are not in the truth as a nation.

69 weeks has passed with 1 more week to go.

It was saved for the future for it is the time God causes all people that do not love Him to follow the New Age Christ, antichrist, and when they do then salvation is no longer available to the world, and then He will end sin on earth.

And bring Israel as a nation to the truth that Jesus is their Lord and Savior.

The Bible says that Israel is blinded in part which they acknowledge the Old Testament, but not the New Testament for the most part, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in when salvation is no longer available to them, and so all Israel shall be saved.

God gave Israel space to repent which they did not do, and turn to Jesus, so Jerusalem was overthrown, and the Hebrews were scattered in to the nations which He gave them a blessing, and a curse, in the Old Testament, which they did not acknowledge the truth so they were scattered in to the world.

Now they could not come to the truth for they were apart from each other, and not on their land.

Which Jesus said the Hebrews will not see Him again until they say blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord.

But God will cause all Hebrews to go to Israel, and then turn them to the truth, and restore the kingdom on earth to Israel.

The disciples asked Jesus is He was going to restore the kingdom to them at that time, and He said it is not for them to know what the Father has put in His own power.

God said He is going to bring the whole house of Israel, all 12 tribes, back to their land, and leave none of them in the nations anymore, and they shall know the LORD their God from that time forward, and He will never hide His face from them again.

Which they will always be in the truth after that.

God said He will make a full end of all Gentile nations, but will not make a full end of Israel although they will not be wholly unpunished.

It is close to the New Age Christ negotiating peace in the Middle East which will result in a 7 years peace treaty, and then the 7 years period will begin.

The United Nations has been operating since 1945 to work for peace on earth, and now they want a new world government.

As soon as Israel and Hamas started fighting the nation started dividing themselves spewing out threats, and warnings, choosing sides between them.

This is a scare tactic to get the people of the world to accept a one world government.

And to set the stage for the New Age Christ.

The Ukraine war is for the purpose of making it appear that Russia and NATO have a conflict that if they fought a nuclear war could happen which could devastate the planet for the nations will choose sides.

This is a scare tactic to scare the people of the world to accept a one world government.

After WW1, League of Nations.

After WW2, United Nations.

And now it is time for a one world goverment.

Controlled conflict brings about controlled change.

The top leaders of the Republicans and Democrats are working together which is the Hegel System.

America and Russia have been working together as the 2 opposing forces in the Hegel System.

Which the one world government will be a balance between democracy and communism.

And the unified religious system will be a balance between atheist and spirituality, and their higher power the God of forces, or the power of nature, and all religions interpreted by the new age movement.

Which they interpret the Bible, and religions, according to the occult and evolution, and people are evolving to be spiritual, and Jesus evolved to be an ascended master, and there is no personal God, and the New Age Christ is the final teacher.

Which God warns us about them(1 Timothy 4:1-5; 2 Timothy 2-4).

The new age movement is being subtle because they would not carry much weight at this time, but they are waiting for the New Age Christ to push the agenda of the new age movement and say it loud, and proud, which he will think to change times and laws.

The plan is to change the current belief system of the world to the new age movement belief system, and prepare the world for the next evolutionary step which is the 5th root race, and 6th sub-race, and America is the germ of the next evolutionary step.

There is people who have entered the Scientific field with the plan to get the new age movement beliefs, and reality, out to the world using their credibility that they are about providing proof, and evidence.

The new age movement believes in evolution but not according to the worldview Darwinian sense.

They do not believe human evolved from apes, but they are of the same lineage, but did not evolve from apes, and they broke off about 7 million years ago.

Which humans are going through a process of 7 root races with 7 sub-races for each root race, and when the process is complete then humans will move to Mars.

I tend to believe that at this point the majority of people that are Scientists are of the new age movement.

Which the United Nations supports new age organizations, and is with them as well as Science.

Which they believe aliens are going to help mankind to have peace, advance, and evolve, which they talk about the return of the gods.

Which Science says humans are not from the earth, and the world needs to prepare for an alien encounter.

Science is going to make all things compatible with the new age movement beliefs, and reality, by saying they have new discoveries, and new findings, that are giving them a new perspective of things which they will make all things compatible with the new age movement.

Science will also embrace the Bible as truth like the new age movement, but they will give forth the new age movement interpretation, which they will give forth evidence, and proof, by new discoveries, and say that people have been interpreting the Bible wrongly for many years.

They said they found a lost book of the Bible which they will probably say they found more lost writings.

They are pointing out a lot about the Bible how atheists could learn from it, the things Christians get wrong, and do that is not art of the Bible, among other things as they get people to embrace the Bible as truth, and give them a new perspective.

The devil is going to use the a false interpretation of the Bible to deceive the world not only because it is salvation, but because it is the most popular book in the world with other religions believing it is truth but interpreting the Bible according to their religion.

Which the devils can work more in the world than in the past for God is giving the world their way to rebel against Him.

For the first 3 and one half years the New Age Christ will be influenced by the devil, and for the next 3 and one half years he is controlled by the devil.

When the New Age Christ negotiates peace resulting in a 7 years peace treaty he will work in the world, and be considered a great man of peace, and a man understanding dark sentences so people will be mesmerized by his speaking, and he will become the biggest player on the world scene.

When the peace treaty happens it will pave the way for all Hebrews to go to Israel for the Gentile nations will cause it to happen, and the New Age Christ wants them all back on their land, but God means it for good towards the Hebrews, and none of the Hebrews will be left in the nations.

They will prepare the cities to move all people in to the cities, and no development can happen outside city limits, and the people become the police force of the cities.

Which is United Nations Agenda 21, a sustainability act, which 179 nations agreed to it in 1992.

At the end of the first 3 and one half years all people will be in the cities.

They will be given a microchip linked to satellite like a GPS tracking system for humans.

Which they can watch people, and know their location, and if a crime happens they will know who was in the area, and how close they were to the crime scene.

This will cut out judges, lawyers, and the now known police force.

All information about the person will be on the chip including finances which it is the one world economic system, which no person can buy or sell without the chip.

The New Age Christ's agenda is there is no personal God to help mankind, but mankind's devices, and technology, can help to stop crime on earth.

The microchip is the mark of the beast, and when they take the mark siding with the beast then salvation is no longer available to the world, and the fulness of the Gentiles have come in.

God will then send Israel 2 witnesses to turn them to the truth for the next 3 and one half years, and at the end of that time Israel as a nation will be in the truth.

Paul said let no person deceive you by any means for the resurrection shall not happen until the man of sin claims to be God which happens in the middle of the 7 years period.

For the world has salvation available to them for the first 3 and one half years so the saints will remain on earth to represent the truth.

Science is talking a lot about mankind going extinct, and saying we have the Neanderthal gene and they went extinct.

This is to get them on board with the new age movement, for when they evolve to be spiritual problem solved.

They point out mental disorders, and mental causes plaguing people with a woe is humans for their frailties.

Same thing embrace the new age movement to evolve problem solved.

Among other things.

They believe the New Age Christ will cause them to evolve therefore he becomes the savior of the world by preventing them from going extinct, by giving them a mind free of mental disorders plaguing them, among other things.

I agree with most of the things said before this.

There is no biblical truth in scripture to seperate the last week from the 69 weeks.

Futurism is an evil invention of the dark ages and the presumption that the last 7 years are yet to be fulfilled is wrong.

To anoint the most Holy = when Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit at His baptism.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:
Jesus did confirm it for one week half himself and half by the Apostles.

in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,
The sanctuary types were finished. They were a shadow of Christ. No need for lambs and offerings.

Jesus said take the message to the house of Israel first because they still had 3 and a half years left.

Well you should carelly read that prophecy again. None of what is in this verse has been fulfilled perfectly, and some not even partially: Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Many people mistakenly claim that this has all been fulfilled since they probably do not even understand what is said. For example has "everlasting righteousness" been established on earth? Does anyone even know that this literally means what it says? Absolutely no sin and evil on this earth. And what do we see all around us?

The vail was torn in the sanctuary when Jesus died in the middle of the last week. The offerings and sacrifices were made desolate. Type had meet anti-type.

The last day interpretation, futurism infatuates a large number of sincere Christians and was developed by a Jesuit priest Francisco Ribera https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_Ribera as part of the Catholic counter-reformation. The reason so many things about the future are not known and as a result everyone is speculating about various points is that there is no Biblical support for the theory. It was developed to camouflage the anti-Christ, the Roman Catholic Church.

How could some of those things apply strictly to Israel. While Israel was addressed, everlasting righteousness would be for the whole world, And it is not Israel who would do those things but God and Christ. You are way off base.

"Seventy sevens [a unique 'timing' wording] ARE DETERMINED UPON thy [Daniel's] people, AND UPON thy [Daniel's] holy city..." - Dan9:24

--69 of those "sevens" were concluded precisely on the very day that Jesus RODE into Jerusalem (fulfilling Zech9:9) and SAID the words He spoke in Luke 19:41-44, words ABOUT "the city"--that is, on what we call Palm Sunday--(all three passages being ABOUT "Jerusalem [/the 'holy city']"); IOW, its fulfillment [that portion of the time-prophecy] had NOTHING to do with His [earlier] baptism in the Jordan;

--Secondly, parts of Dan9:24 [time-prophecy] CORRESPONDS WITH the following:

Romans 11:27 / Isaiah 27:9,12-13
(which Isa passage likewise corresponds with that of Matt24:29-31--which corresponds with Rev19 [/1:7], when "EVERY EYE" shall "SEE" Him--that is, at the time of His Second Coming TO THE EARTH--what 2Th2:8b calls the "MANIFESTATION of the presence / parousia of Him" i.e. His "RETURN" to the earth...
[i.e. Lk12:36-37,38,40 "when he will RETURN FROM the wedding..." ... THEN "the MEAL [G347--see this word also in Mt8:11&parallel]");
Note: Romans 11:27 is speaking of Israel's "FUTURE" (as does Hosea 5:14-6:3 "after TWO days" and "IN the THIRD day" [not "24-hr day" kind of "days"] from the perspective in time of His Ascension--per the wording in this Hosea passage... corresponding with a number of other related "UNTIL" passages = ) )

And finish?
The significance of the number seven is seen in the sabbath, which is the seventh day. "But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work..." This is a picture of how God does all the work of saving his own, while we cannot do any work to save ourselves when it comes to salvation. Jesus was qualified to save us by the cross, whilst we only rest in him in that sense. You may have heard of the Sabbath as being a day of rest, but this is the rest that is really meant - Jesus did all the work of saving us. We see the same idea in the verse: "Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. " So, here again sabbaths are about the Lord doing all the work to sanctify us. He is the one who by the cross saved his own, the believers in Christ.

The number seven is very prominent in the Daniel 9 verse you mention. Not only do we see the number 70 but we also see weeks. To me, this points to the fact that Jesus is doing all the work of saving us. The verses following these numbers seem to be saying exactly that. When we read in Daniel 9:24: "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city" I believe the term 'thy people' means all who are saved in Christ. I also believe the same for the phrase 'thy holy city'. The number seven was used prominently here to show that God is doing the work of saving his own - to "make reconciliation for iniquity. Seven is used because because Jesus did all the work on the cross to make reconciliation for our iniquity, whilst we only rest in him, thanking him for what he did.
