Miri, is only '49' and understands these kind of things that come with aging! -
oh the many ways that we have been enticed to NOT think about how we are ALL
growing 'older', moment by moment, day by day....in the twinkling of an eye...
you really see the lies, when you retire; many can't take it...
Unfortunately I have several friends who are going through terrible things at the
moment.
Terminal overian cancer on palliative care
breast cancer,
massive stroke causing a husband and wife of 30 years to have to live seperately
since they married
rare cancer which has damaged nerve endings so unable to feel
my aunt in and out of hospital this year,
another elderly person on end of life care
another with breast cancer
young child born with defects
Another was in a terrible car crash now confined to a wheel chair and cannot talk due
to damaged speech centres of the brain (she can understand and write in 4 languages but
can’t speak only grunt,
Their ages range from 0 to 90.
Life is very fragile at any age, old age just makes it even more so.
None of us are guaranteed tomorrow yet we race through life without a second thought
about actions and consequences or where we will spend eternity.
Each day is a blessing and each blessing counts.
