"Heaven' and 'Hell" are frames of mind. John the Baptist and Jesus taught, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Heaven, in terms of spacetime, is 'here and now'. Our eternal soul is always present in the here and now, especially when we are incarnated in human form.

Brad, I'd love to call you brother. But I cannot. For you are no brother in Christ. I do not know enough about what you believe to accurately disassemble your misgivings so I will do my best to give a broad spectrum of the reality of the situation. First, God exists, and Jesus is "THE ONLY WAY" to the salvation that is to be found in God. I know this not only from the Holy scriptures, but through experiences. Like being blinded to my knees by a homeless man who came in the name of the Lord. Where I remained on my knees for the duration of at least 15 minutes unable to raise the bill of my hat to even see his sandals. I was not alone but had a witness who was blinded behind me. For three days we had visions while we slept that manifested into real life situations for those three days. For the rest of my life I would have no right to say "I didn't know" The bible is true and I know this because that homeless man who blinded me began with the words "thus says the Lord God" I'm pretty sure he was quoting ezekiel. Since then I have done extensive research on the different ancient scriptures (Textus Receptus,Codex Sinaiticus, Codex Vaticanus) as well as archaeological and historical findings that support the truth to be found in the scriptures with infallable proofs. I cannot even begin to scratch the surface of all of the overwhelming evidence. You will just have to look for yourself. Just know this. Archaeologists and historians alike have tried to disprove the bible in ways they knew was easy. In the end they proved it accurate to the letter and have become some of christianities most ardent supporters. The bible states very clearly that there is a hell and there is a heaven and they aren't just frames of mind. You would apparently like to take one thing Jesus says and think that it counteracts the rest of the bible. It is safe to say that you simply don't understand anything that is spiritual and you can't get away from your worldly brain. You see, you have overlooked these passages.
Psalm 55:15
Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into
hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them. (notice how death came first.. then hell.)
Ezekiel 31:17
They also went down into
hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.
(again, notice he went down to hell with those that were slain)
Ezekiel 32:21
The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of
hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
(and again)
Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in
hell.
(now thats interesting)
Luke 16:22-29
King James Version (KJV)
22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
28For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
Brad, I have nothing left to say to you. Fairwell.
