I'm trying to figure out where the conclusion that Adam and Eve were the only two people alive on the Earth during thier time came from?
Seriously - two people populated the entire planet? Biologically that is impossible, and morally that is disgusting.
Other people were alive during this time; during the creation period of Genesis, it says God is standing over the " waters" the " sea."
"Waters" in the Bible represents peoples, multitudes and nations.
Revs 17:15
" The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages."
This symbolism of the waters representing peoples, multitudes and nations is common throughout the Bible.
Genesis is so incredibly prophetical and symbolic - the Garden of Eden pretty much explains what our purpose on Earth is if you understand it.
But, Adam and Eve were just the first two people to accept God and believe in him on the Earth. The Bible calls the others who did not know of God " beasts" or having the mind of " beasts" because they had little discretion. This concept is a little hard to explain, my apologies but hear me out
There are fossils of neanderthals, traces of their DNA etc - undeniable proof that cave men and others existed on the Earth. There were ancient people as well as Adam and Eve, and this is why Cain found a wife when he was banished from Eden.
You really believe that God would leave out that Adam and Eve had hundreds of children if this was the reality of world pro - creation?
The descendents of Adam were those whom believed in God; very spiritual meaning, not physical.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say Adam and Eve were the first human beings ever; they were but a testimony to our creation, as well as a bunch of really incredible stuff that I'm too young in spirit to explain appropriately
This concept of Adam and Eve being the first humans ever, runs along the lines of " evolution doesn't exist."
Indeed it does - but it in no way disproves anything.
