Well, I technically am not a new guy, but I have not posted in over month and apparently lost my posting priviliges everywhere but here? OR my computer is gliching...? Who Knows?
ANYWAYS, I had posted earlier that my family and I were having a difficult time trying to figure out the will of God and where he would have us serve. I graduated from college back in December of 2008 and times got tight for us...so here is how things turned out...
On July 13th of 2009 I accepted a Senior Pastor Position at a church here in Ohio. It comes with a parsonage (rent free) and a small weekly salary. The parsonage comes with a SWIMMING POOL, and is the largest, nicest home I have ever been in! We are going to have to buy furniture to fill the place up. The people are excited, and we have began with a substantial amount of ministry momentum just by taking the job. It is a small and tight community, and by living in the parsonage we are right in the middle of it...PERFECT placement for minstry!
SO in short...8 years of hard work, grief, Final Exams, wondering, wandering, and mystery...WORTH IT!
Totally worth it!
Blessings,
Dennis (Christepidemic)
PS...We will be moving to the parsonage in the next couple weeks, so I might "go dark" for a couple weeks, but as soon as we get situated...I will pop back in with regular updates...
