It's not the lip ring that makes guys attracted to women with piercings. It's perversion in the mind of man, and if you can't contain your perversion, are women to then wear burkas and be completely covered?
First your offended by my clothing, it's how I feel comfortable, but it's a stumbling block for some, ok change that.
Then someone's offended by my hair being an unnatural color, ok change that too.
Then even though I'm wearing "normal" clothes, I still am still somehow a stumbling block, so I dress more modestly.
Now someone's offended by my hair, that they can see it at all makes them lust, someone hand me a scarf please...
Now that my face is the only thing exposed, the only thing left to cause one to stumble is my piercings. *sigh*
Ok, now people are offended by what I want to call my God, they are offended that I wont worship their idols, they are offended that I wont vote (democrat) because republicans are waging war on women and we've gotta stop them, and I say FREAKIN KNOCK IT OFF!!!
The ones waging the war on women are other women, given to lasciviousness and lusts of the flesh, they want sex and power. They use their clothing, their hair, their piercings, their God given talents, and very lives and souls, to worship the god of money. They act like the pharisees desiring prominent places of public prayer no matter what the Bible they're clutching says about any of it. When they see that you notice their figure, they stick out their hip. If you notice their lip ring, they lick their lips. This is an intentional act on the part of a woman to have comfort in this life, I know because before I was saved I engaged in similar behavior. So now, though I have freedom in Christ, I can do no thing with this flesh, though I'm stuck in it, because ALL things are stumbling blocks to the feeble minded. The deception that is running rampant in churches right now, as part of their prosperity bs and sorcery, is that we should be blank pages in empty picture frames.
I'm not going to bow down to the gods of money, or of ecumenical politics. I enjoy piercings. I like the part where they poke a hole in my skin. It isn't about adornment. We are to adorn ourselves with our works. To me, a piercing is a mode of self expression. It's one of the few things I enjoy that are not flat out condemned by scripture. No where does scripture say we should never enjoy anything. This is why people hate the law, and reject it, because they don't understand that the law demands our rejoicing. So if you can enjoy your wife, or your dog, or a favorite food. Than certainly, as long as it's not done with an attitude of rebellion or to excess, I can enjoy a piercing. Anyone who doesn't like it can either grow up, come talk to me about their issue, or just not look at me. Do you know how strange some people are to those of a different cultural paradigm? Christians need to be able to look at other people without falling on their faces, otherwise how can we expect to minister to anybody. "Hey I'm sorry you're starving, take out your piercings and you can eat with our family." "Oh sorry you don't know Jesus, your people cuss too much for our delicate ears, see you on judgement day."
Give me a break. I think I'm gonna go pierce something right now...LOL
