And here is the Truth..... Matthew 5: 48.... Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Cobus this saying and is under the old Covenant ans anything that was written in the new testament priorot the death of Christ was and is under the old covenant Read Hebrews 9:15-17, and under this old law Cobus since I know your eye has caused you to sin and your hand or foot has then you are to gouge out the eye or cut off the hand and as you try to not sin you will have become a torso all limbs cut off better for part ofyou to go to heaven than all of you go to hell, do you see the strictness of the Law this is what you are promoting and I pray for you, andif you follow this way amdstick to the truth of this then none of uswill evfer hear from you again being a torso.
You see even the disciples asked Jesus after the rich man walked away very sad for he could not give up his earthly riches. After that they heard the Lord's prayer and heard that they will not be forgiven unless they forgive.
So they then asked Jesus after hearing about cutting limbs off and having to forgive to get forgiven Jesus replied with man it is impossible but with God all things are possible so after thedeath, burial and resurrection is where this was made possible and only from God as a gift

Homewardbound, I will show you the error in your reasoning, It just not make sense what you believe.... I cannot stress this enough.... Please understand this.... While there is work on you to be done GOD IS NOT IN YOU YET!

How can God put grain in a claypot that is still a lump of clay? God first has to select the clay, then He moulds it in a FORM HE WANTS, and then He bakes it and then he uses it as a vessel for HIS grain.

Only if GOD finishes the vessel can HE PUT HIS LOAD IN The VESSEL!
You talk about the Spirit in you and leading you, NOWHERE in the Bible is that mentioned. NOWHERE. The Bible mentions, the Spirit leading, but the Bible also mentions the Spirit filling and the Spirit MOVING. There is a HUGE difference between leading and moving/driving! Leading is not STEERING it is guiding or showing the way... Moving or driving or filling, is THE SPIRIT DOING THE DRIVING! He needs no leading, HE KNOWS WHERE TO GO AND WHAT TO SAY AND WHAT TO DO!

Get this in your faith Homy my friend..... THE HOLY SPIRIT LEADS US, BEFORE HE FILLS US TO MOVE OR DRIVE US!
While God is at work on us, The Holy Spirit LEADS... that menas HE WALKS IN FRONT AND WE SHOULD FOLLOW! When God is finished and we followed ALL THE WAY, we will find ourselves where the HOLY SPIRIT LED us.... To ALL Forgiveness, and to the presence of the Holy Father.... We are now presented to God.... holy, and cleansed and without sin, BUT!!!!! To complete us we have to be SEALED/FILLED and BAPTIZED with the Holy Spirit. It is THEN that we ENTER INTO GOD, and HE ENTERS INTO Us... At that moment God forgives us ALL SIN AT ONCE! Even though we took time to DIE OFF THE SIN (1 Peter 2:24).

God does not forgive us more than ONCE. God knows how to forgive, we are the once that need to be taught how to forgive. This is another discussion. But just trust me for now.... God only need to forgive us ONCE and we will NEVER need forgiveness from HIM again! God will forgive you ALL the sin in one perfect forgiveness. So when the Holy Spirit lead us all the way to God's presence, then He will fill you with His Spirit, and that is when you are made complete... PERFECT!
As long as the Holy Spirit has to SHOW you your sin HE LEADS YOU OUT OF IT. HE DOES NOT MOVE you, you have to MOVE YOURSELF TO FOLLOW HIM.... That is called LEAD by the Holy Spirit. NOt like MOVED or DRIVEN by the Holy Spirit. That only happens once HE DOES NOT LEAD ANY LONGER!

When the Holy Spirit MOVES, it is only with the HOLY MEN of God! And they are as holy as God is Holy. becasue they have the SAME Spirit God has. And that is the ONLY SPIRIT in them. Later we will discuss this Holy Spirit, for now get HIS WAYS or operation right. He leads a person before he ENTERS AND FILLS A PERSON.

There are many verses to show this fact and Truth, MANY.

Here you are wrong AGAIN homy... allthrough the Old Testament not one person was ever perfect ever followed the statutes of God all the way up to Christ Jesus the only flesh that ever pleased God period,
Luke 1... There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
Luk 1:6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
These two people were righteous before GOD... So you are in error my friend and there are many more, But I agree they could not attain the level of perfection we can! They might be Holy as 2 Peter 1:21 says... For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

I hope you agree that John's parents were special enough that God mentions them as RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD... I told you before, I like what you aim at, but you still miss the mark. Homy, I will answer every question you ask. I will not give up on you! I have great hope for you.

Same with John the Baptist, HE NEVER SINNED! NEVER. But even he cannot attain what we can Jesus said so. Why can't people see this? It just baffles this sinners brain. You all claim to be God's children but you cannot grasp what your GOD teaches. I think you should all go and ask your schoolfees back. And fire all your teachers, they STINK!

Romans 1:17

New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]Cobus, love you, the following is showing you by scripture it is by faith in Jesus Christ and no works of the flesh ever pleases God for all sin has been (past tense) condemned to the flesh it is by and through faith that one is made righteous before God the Father in Christ Jesus, the way the truth the life.
Romans 1:17
[/SUP][SUP]17 [/SUP]For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Romans 5

New King James Version (NKJV)

Faith Triumphs in Trouble

5 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have[SUP][a][/SUP] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, [SUP]2 [/SUP]through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; [SUP]4 [/SUP]and perseverance, character; and character, hope. [SUP]5 [/SUP]Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Christ in Our Place

[SUP]6 [/SUP]For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. [SUP]7 [/SUP]For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. [SUP]8 [/SUP]But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. [SUP]9 [/SUP]Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. [SUP]11 [/SUP]And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Death in Adam, Life in Christ

[SUP]12 [/SUP]Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— [SUP]13 [/SUP](For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. [SUP]15 [/SUP]But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. [SUP]16 [/SUP]And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. [SUP]19 [/SUP]For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, [SUP]21 [/SUP]so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Hebrews 11

New King James Version (NKJV)

By Faith We Understand

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Faith at the Dawn of History

[SUP]4 [/SUP]By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; [SUP][a][/SUP] for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. [SUP]6 [/SUP]But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
Faithful Abraham

[SUP]8 [/SUP]By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. [SUP]9 [/SUP]By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; [SUP]10 [/SUP]for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child[SUP][b][/SUP] when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.
The Heavenly Hope

[SUP]13 [/SUP]These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them,[SUP][c][/SUP] embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. [SUP]14 [/SUP]For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. [SUP]15 [/SUP]And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. [SUP]16 [/SUP]But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
The Faith of the Patriarchs

[SUP]17 [/SUP]By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, [SUP]18 [/SUP]of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,”[SUP][d][/SUP] [SUP]19 [/SUP]concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.
The Faith of Moses

[SUP]23 [/SUP]By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, [SUP]25 [/SUP]choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, [SUP]26 [/SUP]esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in[SUP][e][/SUP] Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible. [SUP]28 [/SUP]By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.
By Faith They Overcame

[SUP]30 [/SUP]By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. [SUP]31 [/SUP]By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: [SUP]33 [/SUP]who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, [SUP]34 [/SUP]quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. [SUP]35 [/SUP]Women received their dead raised to life again.
Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. [SUP]36 [/SUP]Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. [SUP]37 [/SUP]They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted,[SUP][f][/SUP] were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— [SUP]38 [/SUP]of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.
[SUP]39 [/SUP]And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, [SUP]40 [/SUP]God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

Cobus and all this is where I stand in total confidence as a child of the living God whether anyone else sees this or not is of no consequence to me, thank you allvery much and Iknow that if anyof you are trult wanting to know God youwill know him for God reveals himself to those that have no other motive than to know him.
First, inChrist we are dead to sin (Rom. vi. 11). Sin is not overcome simply bystruggling against it. If it was something which always met us from without, that might not be so difficult. But our very being is soaked with it. A drop ofink in a glass of water will taint the entire glass. Self is such an insidiousthing. Our very thinking is poisoned with the leprosy of self-love. Our spiritis so twisted, torn, because of self, out of its right center, God, and rootedin the flesh; the old life is so foul in the sight of God that no patchwork, nomere polishing up, no amount of varnish will do. Jesus says we must be bornagain. In Christ we are taken into the tomb to be undone.

Christcannot be to us the life of God without being to us the death of self. "Icame not to bring peace but a sword." Now the knife must cut if we wouldbe free. There is no other way out of selfhood.

Second, inChrist we are dead to the world. That does not mean, of course, that somemedieval cloister, or a desert retreat, or the cell of a monastery, or some St.Stylites pillar would be more conducive to Christian living. No man ever stoodnearer the heart of this world's affairs than Christ: whether in themarket-place, in the temple, in the home, with the poor, the maimed, the halt,or with those who rejoiced at a bridal feast, He was ever in the stream of lifewhere the current was swiftest and deepest. No indeed, He was not an ascetic.Yet He could say: "I am not of the world." "They are not of theworld even as I am not of the world."
The worldhas taken on plenty of gloss since Christ's day, but the friendship of theworld is still enmity with God; for the simple reason that the Spirit of theworld with its shams and its lies, its greed, and its lust, springs from themonster self.

Know I amwith you, ready to comfort, strengthen, and guide." FOREVER AND ALWAYS
