Ya I have heard that as well but as for an actual relationship with God how do the jews fair I wonder?
1) On the flight over there, I groggily awoke from a nap seeing several Jewish man standing in the aisles of the plane praying at their appropriate hours. They chose to do it in an inconvenient time and place. Their prayers were legitimate and heart felt
2) While touring the Western Wall, we went down a small tunnel that ran next to the wall where you could see one of the largest stones the temples were built on. I saw a ladies in her 80's praying fervently in an old chair late at night.
Both of these instances showed me that there are Jewish people that have a legitimate and sincere relationship with God, that is manifested in their actions far more than a lot of Christians might show. I don't know to what degree they have an actual relationship with God, but it sure seems to me that many do.
