This is really fun for parties. It's inexpensive, easy to make, and looks really pretty.
All you need is
1-2 lbs of lean ground beef (or ground turkey if you want it healthier)
2 8ct packages of crescent rolls per 1lb of ground beef
1 pkg of lettuce
1 pkg of grated cheddar
1 pkg per 1lb of beef taco seasoning
plus your favourite taco toppings
All you do is brown your ground beef
Drain the extra grease off of it
Add the taco seasoning
Line a cookie sheet with tin foil (so you don't have as much to clean up later)
Unwrap your crescent roll dough, and place one down with the pointy part facing the outside, place the next one at an angle to the first one, placing the corners together. Continue doing this until you've made a stop sign shape.
After you've made your stop sign shape, use a spoon to put 2-3 spoonfuls of meat on the fattest part of the crescent roll. Fold the pointed side over the meat and press it into the crescent roll to keep it closed.
After all the rolls are closed, sprinkle cheese over the top. Preheat your oven to about 375 and bake 8-10 minutes until the crescents are golden brown. Sprinkle your salad mix over the top to finish it off
For a presentation, put a bowl of sour cream and a bowl of salsa in the middle.
