I was doing research on the individuals who, in one way or another, whose cases hit the mass media by being sentenced and had the death penalty carried out. My research led me to a 14 year old boy (George Stinney Jr) who was sentenced to the electric chair for being accused of killing two small girls. Stinney was given a one day trial, forced to sign a statement of confession he couldn't even read and who was not allowed a lawyer or witnesses to the stand. I found out today, that this case will be re-opened tomorrow and tried (1/21/2014). Hopefully to somewhat right such a grave injustice and have his name cleared. Small steps but still so far to Go- Martin Luther King Jr fought for people like these...the injustices so that one day there may be JUSTICE-By the Grace of God. . I will be following this case when it re-opens. Hopefully Stinneys voice will be heard for him and his family. He would be 70 if he were with us today. New trial sought for SC teen executed in 1944
