Is God glorified through your singleness or through your relationship? If you don't feel comfortable answering, you don't have to. The question is to make you think about what you do.
My answer: Sadly to say, in recent times, I have not been glorifying to God. There have been several times recently where I have gone to the bar and had to much to drink with friends and have not acted how a single man should to represent God. Especially to the women around me. I feel so guilty about it. It is a sad truth that Christians have a huge problem with. They are so ashamed, because they have fallen back into sin. There are so many like me, who haven't lost their faith, they still love God, but at times they fall back into sin. It is important to know that God has forgiven us. There is a example I love. Imagine that you are tied to a post by a bungee cord. This post represents sin. Another post is a little ways away and it represents righteousness. No matter how hard to try to run righteousness, the bungee cord pulls you back to sin. Once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and you run back to sin, you are pulled back to Christ. This is the season I am in now. Getting pulled back to Christ. I realize my sin and although I feel pain that I have sinned, I realize that God has forgiven me. This is hard for me to share, but I am glad. I ask that you pray for me and hold me accountable. Praise to God. I thank Him for given me forgiveness, not only for the sin I committed before I became born again, but for forgiving me when I fall back into sin. And I thank Him for pulling me back to Him.
